We stayed here two nights, my only complaint was the fact that all meals were buffet style. The rooms were great, the service was excellent. I loved the squirrels outside my room and the warthogs wandering around the grounds. Chocolates for the turn down service were appreciated as well.

From arrival to departure, it was an unforgettable experience! Not only were the rooms, the food, the spa (!!) and the staff remarkable, but the environment, and all the activities at our disposal made it my best hotel experience yet! It is so evident how much thought and care has been put into this beautiful place. Cannot rate this highly enough!

This is mainly a restaurant / food review. We were taken to this hotel to have lunch as a part of our Chobe National Park Safari Tour which we took from Victoria Falls town in Zimbabwe. Normally such lunches as a part of a tour group are average to average minus. But this one was a surprise. The food quality was good. The desserts were nice and it even had some tasty vanilla ice cream. Lunch menu had variety and the dishes were reasonably tasty. We were made to eat from a buffet in their main restaurant which faces the Chobe river. Nice view. Service was average. The hotel's grounds looked very nice with warthogs all over the place. The lobby was impressive and it opens up into a big courtyard with a large tree as its centerpiece. This was majestic.

I absolutely loved it there! The rooms were well appointed, clean and each had a balcony that looked over a lovely green area that led to the river. The food was good and served buffet style. They had live music at dinner. The beds were comfortable and I slept well. The grounds were beautiful, and I got a kick out of seeing all the warthogs roaming the grounds. These staff members were very helpful and made me feel welcomed....Kealegoga, Makata, and Arnold. The friend that I was traveling with caught a cold and the chef, Katelgo, made her a special tea of ginger, honey and lemon that really helped. He often sought us out to see if she was feeling better and needed more tea. I had 2 massages given by Goitese and she was excellent! We took a morning safari and our driver was skilled at finding animals for us to view. We also took a river cruise captained by Moses.....and it was the best! Moses was a great guide. We came so close to Cape Buffalo, hippos and grazing elephants. I couldn't believe it. My stay was too short. I only booked 2 nights and wish I had the time to stay longer.

Very good experience overall, especially with the river safari right at their doorstep. Our guides were excellent, including our game drive guide who noticed a lioness in an open area who was sititng quiet. After 10 mins of no movement, we left and he took a chance and drove back there toward the end of the drive (about 2 hours later) right when she was getting ready to chase an impala - and I got to witness an exciting hunt! The river safari guide too was very patient in answering all our questions. Over and above, I left a pair of shoes in my room which they eventually retrieved and shipped it back to me in Asia. Greatly appreciated the effort in returning the item which many places might have not chosed to do especially with the cost involved.

The stay was ok, the rooms were nice and spacious and it was lovely to see the animals on the grass outside the rooms. The negatives were that the food wasnt very good and the staff were not very friendly or helpful. The activities included were good but there is no where to go for a walk which was disappointing.

We visited for lunch as part of our safari with big groups of others so must be the norm. The whole place looks amazing, great facilities and the food was lovely. There was some confusion over the pricing of our drinks and having paid in dollars we received change in Pulas, but not the end of the world. I'm sure anyone staying here will have an incredible time!

Cresta Mowana has the full package to enjoy the Safari experience in the beautiful landscape of Botswana. From lovely hotel stay, to boat cruises, to game drives, and to Victoria Falls. Great staff hospitality made our stay amazing!
