I booked Christmas lunch in the restaurant which, at the time, didn't have prices and menu sorted. I left all my contact details and eventually received a call when I was on a long-haul flight that I returned 48 hours later. At the time, the restaurant had released my booking (despite waiting 8 weeks for them to contact me back with the menu/price) and couldn't reinstate it. They promised to get back to me re. the waiting list situation and I still haven't heard back - that was 6 weeks ago. Hardly surprising that hospitality is struggling when management is so incompetent, and practices so cut-throat and customer-unfriendly. I have been a loyal customer for years, booking friends to stay there and having special occasion lunch and diners in the restaurant, but I can no longer support such a poor and unfriendly business.
