Gilbert's Resort

Beautiful place, right in the water, excellent room with a water view, friendly staff and very knowledgeable of the area! Loved our stay, will absolutely come back!

There were problems with the internet which meant TV trouble but I can watch TV at home and internet crashes sometimes everywhere that’s life now. Yes it gets busy on the weekends but Gilbert’s takes care of there guests. The had parking saved for us when we returned on a Saturday evening from visiting Key West. The room was spacious and clean and loved the deck. The whole staff was so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed

The room was cute and clean, but we couldn’t figure out how to adjust the temperature. The beach and swim area are quite small, and we had booked it specifically for the beach. It was a decent place to stay for one night, and we did enjoy the water views.

The room was great clean. The TV was very difficult to use. We had a first floor room which opened out into like a boardwalk which is terrific. We were able to watch oats birds and talk to neighbors in other rooms, but it was still very private if you wanted it to be, the restaurant was great. There was a beach and pool. The guy who ran the boats wasn’t there other day we were, which was disappointing that was a private area for guest of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this place to for couples and for families.

Stayed 1 nite was very clean quick ck in very busy place but they seemed to have a good system really organized stayed in waterfront room was very nice bands /weekend live music was awesome. I would definetely stay again! Next time longer Pricing was a little expensive but you get what u pay for!

Stayed her one night. Found it to be super cool being so close to home. Beach area and tiki bars so close. My only issue was the family next to my room had about 10 adults and they were not respecting my space in the outside dock. Might be something the Hotel needs to walk around and observe. Other thsn that.. the stay was great.

This place is usually a lot of fun, there is always something going on here. They have great entertainment, the boat watching is awesome and the pool is warm. We have stayed her many times and have had a good time, this time however the pool area was FULL of people NOT staying at the resort, unruly kids who were unattened (Even very young kids) & people bringing in food and drinks, kids doing flips into the pool and hitting people with volleyballs. We ask security multiple times to address this & were told it would be taken care of ---- but never handled, come to find out that these people were friends of one of the waitresses who were allowing this. So, they apparently prioritized that over the people paying over $400 a night to stay here, that is aggravating!! Also, they discontinued the proteins at breakfast (no eggs or meat) so it is just muffins & cereal now, if you a "real" breakfast you will have to leave the resort or pay $15 for a Brunch item at the bar that doesn't open until 10am. I ordered 2 eggs & bacon - waited 35 minutes and got only 1 egg?? Unfortunately his trip to Gilbert's was disappointing, might have to try a new location in Key Largo after this....... : (

On the weekend it got very noisy, include boat radios blaring from the docks. Motorcycle nose was also too loud for my liking.

Our first visit to Gilbert Resort and it was great! We loved the laid back atmosphere, the outdoor huts, the drinks, the food, the staff and the quiet "island like" feeling. The rooms were also very nice however, a little small but we managed!
