Briksdalsbre Fjellstove

The lodge was all but deserted when we arrived. The season was essentially over. we ended up being the only ones staying in the cabins at the time. The staff were helpful and even gave us some eggs and bacon and such to cook for breakfast since the café was not open in the morning. We were in a neat little cabin below a waterfall. It had 2 small apartments in one building. The apartment was small, but efficient and nicely furnished. The appliances appeared new. There wasn’t a lot of room, especially for suitcases, but it was comfortable. The views were great. the river was right outside as was a waterfall. The cabin was very clean There was a kitchen with all necessary utensils. The bathroom was decent size bath with a heated floor The room had no air conditioning, but there were windows that could open. There was no TV and there was no phone service, but the room had good WIFI There were a couple outlets for charging, but only one near the bed The bed was quite comfortable. The area was quiet except for the raging storm outside. This would be very good place to see the night sky and maybe northern light, but it was stormy and rainy the day we were there. The area around was really nice. There is a glacier hike, a waterfall, a small nature trail. We were able to have a late lunch at the restaurant. It was a limited menu, but the food was good. Overall this was one of the neatest places we stayed on this trip. I would recommend it.

Chambre en sous-sol du magasin de souvenir au bord du torrent (heureusement triple vitrage) et personnel commun avec la cafeteria qui sert de restaurant et petit dej autant dire qu’on est isolé de tout ici mais c’est le prix à payer pour être à porter de rando du glacier Prix correct mais c’est bien pour une nuit sans plus

Een mooie rustige locatie omringt door watervallen. De kamers zijn eenvoudig en badkamer klein maar wel schoon. Je kunt buiten op het terras genieten van een drankje, het ontbijt is goed evenals het avondeten. Er is een souvernierswinkel waar je van alles kunt kopen van truien tot kaarten etc. Naar de gletsjer is het wel een stuk omhoog lopen, het is prettig om met een golfkar omhoog te gaan, naar beneden lopen gaat prima. Golfkar kost een enkeltje € 15 en retour € 25
