Campanile Pont A Mousson

We have just spent 5 nights in north & east France in 5 different hotels, all of ‘apparently’ similar quality and the comparison has been quite interesting. This Campanile was mid-range of the 5 price-wise, but given the appalling accommodation, it should have been half the price. The other Campanile we stayed in was cheaper and had far better accommodation. We have stayed in many Campanile’s before, in France and UK and usually find them good value for money being basic but clean - this one was the exception. It was the worst room we’ve ever stayed in - it was dark and dank with dirty floors and damp bedding It was very cramped with barely room to get between the twin beds. In fact had it not been late we might have left and found somewhere else. The website photos must have been taken years ago, as it looks run down now, with far more vegetation close to the building, crumbling concrete stairs, and a general greenish layer on the “white” facade. Inside there was chipped woodwork, stains, peeling paint, clips on wall for a mirror but no mirror - presumably broken and not replaced. There was mould growing on the walls and ceiling in the bathroom. The bathroom bin had not been emptied after the previous occupant, which was very unpleasant. The WC was stained and the seat didn’t fit the pan. The hotel is in a poor location close to busy A31 road and in area of noisy light industry and derelict land. Breakfast began fairly well with a reasonable selection of food and a couple of staff members available for restocking and help with the temperamental coffee machine. Suddenly there was an influx of about 40 rather ill-mannered teenagers on a coach trip - within seconds there was no food left! As we left the hotel there was a queue for checking out as many other guests were complaining!!

I had no good experiences during my visit in Pont a Mousson due to business trips. I don’t advise this hotel to anyone Actually, no english speaker in this hotel. Therefore , you should be carefull while you are visiting to this hotel No good hospitality I met during my visit I am Behzat Çetin who came from Global Company for Business Meeting with French Companies

Nice reception friendly lady and an awesome buffet with an enormous choice of delicious specialty’s in one word a treat! ten ten out of ten points and that only 5 minutes from the highway. And the price is very cheap . We really recommend this hotel and Restaurant especially when don’t want to spend a lot of money and precious Time

We used to travel through France for years, always staying in Campanile. After a ten years break I tried again - unfortunately it was a big disappointment: especially the food that used to be very good, was poor in choice as well as quality! The rooms were ok, but a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in both NON SMOKING! rooms.

Perfectly adequate for the money.. Nice little restaurant with good and reasonbly- priced food. Room was warm, comfortable and had a bath. Only negative point was that ot was extremely difficult to find the entrance to the hotel. Very poorly signposted. Needs an illuminated sign at the entrance to the road through the industrial area.

We stayed for one night and really enjoyed the staff. Kind, friendly and open. Special remark was the attention for the wish of gluten-free breakfast. The staff had nice bread both at the diner as breakfast. Great service! Allthough the building looks somewhat older, it was clean and the beds were comfy.

De passage pour quelques jours : bon rapport qualité prix (prix attractif). Cependant, mal situé au milieu d’un échangeur d’entrée d’autoroute… donc environnement très bruyant par moment, mais chambre bien isolée. Personnel attentionné et sympathique

Notre lieux d'hébergement durant la semaine fédérale de cyclotourisme.Dès notre arrivée on nous dit tout de suite que l'on ne prend plus de réservation pour le restaurant(un club est en demi-pension). Pour le reste rien a dire,bonne literie,ménage bien fait,buffet de petit déjeuné toujours bien approvisionné,malgré l'affluence.

Heureusement que c etai juste pour une nuit. Nettoyage pas top,on a trouver 1 € sous le lit. Nous avons demander un lit enfant , juste le drap housse mis, pas de draps, pas d oreiller, ni de couette sur le lit enfant. J ai du dormir sur le protège matelas pour pouvoir donner la couette à mon fils et me couvrir moi avec le drap. Pas de chance pour nous, la chambre a côté un chien qui aboie. Point positif : juste à côté de la salle des fetes pour le mariage ou nous étions invités.
