Hotel in zona Winkelcentrum Weezenhof, Nijmegen

The Hotel Van der Valk Nijmegen-Lent is quite simply outstanding! We travelled from Wales, UK, and this is the sixth year that we have stayed at the hotel during the period of the Vierdaagse 4-day Nijmegen Marches (second to third week of July). The hotel offers first class accommodation and service. The restaurant and bar are spacious and comfortable, and offer an excellent service and wide selection of food and drinks throughout the day and evening. Decor throughout is elegant. The hotel is located close to the city and is easily accessible by road and rail. It has a large integral multi-storey car park with free parking, and covered, direct and easy access to the hotel. It lies adjacent to the Nijmegen-Lent railway station, with frequent trains and a four minute journey into the central station and city of Nijmegen. We run out of superlatives in praise of the hotel staff! From Marije the Director and Marijn the Marketing and Communications Manager, to the reception, restaurant, Lola’s Bar and housekeeping staff, who are all just wonderful, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Communications throughout the booking, main stay and departure process were efficient and well coordinated. In our experience as international travellers of many years, the staff offer a wonderful, warm and personalised touch to your stay and are a credit to the hotel and the wider Van der Valk group. Aveva solo un drink e un snack pre-pranzo, ordinava un piccolo snack di charcuterie con noci di formaggio e olive, era una parte generosa che riempiva abbastanza per non avere bisogno di cena quando siamo tornati a casa a Lent. Amico personale e molti di loro, noi ci sedevamo con il nostro cane sulla terrazza, che guardava un lussuoso campo verde, e ci siamo sentiti molto benvenuti.

Aveva un bel soggiorno qui in settembre con mia madre e mia figlia. Siamo stati in famiglia per visitare la tomba di guerra di mio zio. Siamo arrivati molto tardi la sera quando la cena era chiusa, ma l'hotel ci ha assicurato di avere un pasto. Abbiamo mangiato in hotel per 2 delle nostre 3 notti di soggiorno e il cibo era bellissimo e ragionevolmente prezzi. Il personale era amichevole e attento. Avevamo due camere e entrambe erano spaziose e ben decorate con bellissime suite. L'hotel è idealmente situato sulla strada principale di Elst. Ci siamo trasferiti in una bella stanza e saremmo tornati.

The transport strike, on the 28th, meant I needed to stay in Holland a day longer than I'd planned to and I couldn't extend my stay at the hotel in Elst (see separate review), I'd been staying in. I had to be out of one hotel by 11am and couldn't check in here until 3pm, but the Haarhuis (Her House, in English) has storage facilities and that gave me the ability to walk around Arnhem centrum (centre) and visit the Airborne At The Bridge exhibition (see separate review), without having to drag my luggage around with me. In an effort to keep my costs down, I'd booked a single room (without breakfast, as there's plenty of shops and fast food places around Arnhem Centraal), but the receptionist did some checking and gave me a free upgrade to a double room, instead. The room itself was very light and spacious, but lacked air conditioning - which was slightly made up for by having opening windows and, being north facing, the room was shaded from the Sun for the most part.. Some have commented on the noise level in the rooms at the front, but it wasn't all that noticeable to me (perhaps, because the strike meant a there were very few buses, no Trolleybuses and few trains were running), despite having the secondary glazing open the entire time I was staying. It came with all the normal amenities, such as a wardrobe, flat screen TV and coffee machine (why no tea, though?). The bed was single beds, pushed together, but had a (thin, but very firm) double mattress on top and I slept extremely well. The bathroom, whilst small, was very well laid out - though, being a slightly bigger framed man, I did find getting in and out of the shower to be a bit of a struggle, as the door only opened half way. The water was hot and very plentiful and the soap/shampoo provided did mean I didn't have to go rooting around in my case to find my own. In conclusion, staying wasn't planned, but it's a lovely hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff, and I'm glad I booked.

L'hotel è perfettamente situato accanto alla stazione centrale e al bordo del centro commerciale. Il lobby offre un lavoro e una tazza di tè o caffè gratuito. Il personale è giovane e informale. Le camere non sono grandi, ma sono un buon letto e bagno. Purtroppo, per ogni camera d'albergo troviamo il peccato della morte: una bottiglia di scivolo degli ex ospiti sotto il letto. Anche se la stanza non era sporca, è ovviamente un punto di attenzione.

Che ne dici? L'esclusività non è assolutamente più. L'occhio nei latticini con il sangue vecchio e il sangue, corde sporche e ogni forma di atmosfera è rimosso nella tua camera d'albergo. Anche un bicchiere nel bagno per lavare la bocca dopo la pulizia dei denti non c'era. Il cibo era ridicolo costo e la qualità per piangere. Suggerimento per il cuoco: considerare un cambio di carriera. Il taglio con “verdi caldi” sembrava verdure che si puzzano fuori dal pozzo del discarico, divertente con un umido inequivocabile di curry e coco. Sashimi di salmone? Sashimi di sashimi avrebbe avuto un po' di meglio - tre piastrelle sottili, di cui mia madre è ancora malata, e questo hotel è anche un centro di accoglienza temporaneo per i richiedenti asilo. Non abbiamo trovato problemi, ma comunicatelo con i vostri ospiti. Qualcosa con trasparenza? Questo è obbligato come gruppo di milioni, cioè. Sono felice che i vostri richiedenti asilo possano offrire un letto caldo, ma un piccolo heads-up sarebbe stato bello. Non tutti sono serviti in questo caso. Prendi un esempio ai tuoi colleghi di Brabant, van der Valk. Il personale della reception ha insegnato le labbra e un'aerazione disgustosa. Lavorare alle vostre signore di softskills, che è meglio.

What a surprise! Hotel Papendal is basically the accommodation wing of the Dutch Olympic Association’s headquarters and training facility. Situated in quiet woodland a short drive from Arnhem and Oosterbeek, the bedrooms are very basic but comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a bar onsite that serves simple snacks and meals, or you can venture out to Arnhem. Breakfast is AMAZING - high quality, and lots of choice in very smart self service restaurant. Parking is free and easy. No aircon, however bedroom windows do open.

Hotel di alta qualità.Le grandi strutture della stanza sono nuove e la vita è molto comoda.La reception è molto buona.Poiché l'hotel non organizza sempre tutte le attività, le persone vengono più spesso.Non so perche' la maggior parte della notte e'una radio improvvisamente molto alta nella stanza mattinale, e il giardino non può sentire, e l'hanno trasmesso tre volte. Gli ospiti del negozio parcheggiano gratis.
