Hotel Novotel a Nizza

Dato che siamo arrivati ​​a Nizza la mattina presto, abbiamo trovato un albergo vicino all'aeroporto e ci siamo riposati per una notte. Ho prenotato 2 camere, ma quando sono arrivato mi è stato detto che una camera non era prenotata e non c'erano posti liberi negli hotel circostanti. Alla fine, noi tre siamo stati schiacciati in una piccola stanza divano e riuscivo a malapena a sdraiarmi con il cappotto. Una notte, questa esperienza è stata così emozionante. Quindi assicurati di confermare con l'hotel prima di effettuare il check-in! Non c'è acqua minerale nella stanza, ma su ogni piano c'è un distributore d'acqua dove tutti possono bere acqua calda e fredda. La colazione è abbastanza soddisfacente, adatta per un soggiorno temporaneo di una notte durante un viaggio d'affari. Ci sono solo alberghi nelle vicinanze e nient'altro. Dietro l'hotel c'è una piccola piazza con un piccolo supermercato e un bar.

The location is near the Nice airport, which is very convenient. The tram and bus stops are right outside the hotel, so you have easy access to the airport, and to the city centers of Nice, Cannes and other locations. The hotel, overall, was clear. They did a good job with the rooms, which were fairly spacious, only there was a bit of confusion about which glass bottles were clean or dirty outside, near the water machine, which is the only way you can get drinking water for the room. The clean bottles were supposed to be on top of the machine outside, near the elevator, but I was unsure if those bottles were actually clean. The service was very good, the team at the front desk was very helpful. There was a small scare when we first arrived, as the hotel said that they did not have our booking in their system (which I had fully paid for in advice, on Trip.com). They made a few phone calls, and we managed to get the 2 rooms that we booked for the five of us (2 adults, 3 children). I should point out that they said I was lucky that they had their last 2 rooms available, which they keep for such emergencies. I did not pay for breakfast, but we did eat the breakfast there twice, and if one adult buys the breakfast (19 euros), then the children are free. That worked well for us, and the children enjoyed the breakfast, as did the adults. There is a swimming pool, which is a small to medium size, and although we didn't use it, saw that many others were enjoying the pool. The gym was a decent size, but there were no free weights, which I like to use, so I did not use the gym. The restaurant connected to the hotel is only open Monday to Friday, and the menu is limited. There is not a great selection of restaurants nearby, but you can order in from others further away, though you will find that they make mistakes. Overall, a good choice for a reasonable hotel near the airport with good access to the cities around.
