I got scammed by the owners- first time ever on Trip.com.
I reserved an Executive King room with City View but was instead assigned a disabled room on the ground floor—obviously not the one I booked.
The condition of the room was unacceptable: both the sink and shower were clogged, and there was zero sound insulation; I could hear literally everything from the lobby, including every footstep of guests coming in and out or even the clerk coughing. When I approached the staff about the room mix-up, they dismissed my concerns, stating that the price I paid was already a good deal for what I received. They even offered to move me to a different room for an additional €120.
After a totally sleepless night, I pleaded to be moved to the room I originally booked. Instead, I was given a twin room with a cramped kid's bed on side which had disgusting stains on it, as well as hair in the bathroom. The cherry on top was the dismal view of the staircase. Probably not what we call a “City View”.
I am utterly shocked by this experience and strongly believe this property should not be listed on Trip.com. To anyone visiting Nice: I strongly recommend avoiding this property, as your room assignment will be determined by a Russian Roulette.
