Balavil Hotel

I stayed at this hotel recently due to a family funeral in the area. What was obviously a very sad and difficult time was made much easier by the wonderful, caring staff and the clean, very comfortable room. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and piping hot! Thank you Balavil team.

What a lovely find, was a total last minute booking and I’m so glad we did, every member of the team were lovely nothing seemed to much for them. Room was clean and obviously a new bathroom had been put in and looks great. We had breakfast and dinner all had been cooked fresh. Cannot fault anything at all and we will definitely be back. Thanks again for an amazing stay.

What a gem of a place. The food was beautiful and so clearly homemade. The staff were great and the hotel is just stunning. The kids menu isn’t full of rubbish which is so rare, both my kids had the burger and it was gorgeous. I had the spaghetti and it was delicious. Please go and enjoy a lovely family meal here.

Very basic rooms, not particularly clean. Breakfast food average, evening meal bland and not made with fresh ingredients. Gluten free options are sorely limited even with advance booking. Staff uninterested. Glad to get home.

I had an outstanding stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. The team went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. The room was immaculate and extremely comfortable, giving me one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time — the bed was perfect, the room was quiet, and every detail had clearly been thought through. The food was equally impressive, with a menu that was both varied and delicious. Everything I ordered was fresh, well presented, and full of flavour. Combined with the excellent service, it made for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. Overall, this hotel delivered on every level — comfort, food, and hospitality. I left feeling completely refreshed and already look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

Perfect location , The Atmosphere was Amazing with Friendly Staff . Very comfortable bed, Good value for money, very clean spotless and shower room. Noise level really low, even with a Big Celebration happening on the public bar. Highly Recommend a stay in the Balavil if your visiting Newtonmore 👌
