We stayed for a couple of nights. Absolutely lovely place to stay. Great location within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Our room had the most stunning view. It was clean and comfortable with everything you needed. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared. They also offered breakfast bags if you were leaving early or having a lie in which is a nice touch. We met John on an arrival who was lovely and helpful.

Good location in Newquay, a footpath immediately opposite takes you down to the main street in a couple of minutes . The return up hill journey was ok for us but you probably wouldn’t want to do it several times a day ! We stayed in a second floor front room with very large windows and a sea view . The room was better than we expected, looked to have been not long refurbished, great condition all round , modern, with a fridge . Breakfast was good . Would we book again if re visiting Newquay ? Yes we would !

The location is good, overlooking the town, with easy access to the amenities by foot or road. John and Amy were excellent hosts and informative. The breakfasts were excellently cooked by Amy and pleasantly served by John. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Very clean, safe, walking distance to sites,beaches, restos and great hikes.Hosts were incredibly helpful directing us to great hikes, where to park etc. They have thought of everything you may need and will accommodate according to guests wishes. Large shared living room and kitchen welcome for hanging out.Custom full breakfast no extra cost can be packed to go if needed. the best experience for us in 2 weeks travel around Cornwall.

Geckos Rest came to us as highly recommended. This recommendation was spot on. I don't think I have ever been in a place that was so clean and everything looked brand new - almost like the first week of the season rather than the end. The breakfast was absolutely top notch. John and Amy - you have a wonderful place at Geckos Rest

AMAZING, the whole experience, from the greeting to the room. The view was amazing , the breakfast and even the car parking. friendly, professional, and was a small walk to town.

Good location from station and town, short walk from both. Lovely welcome. Room compact but full of everything required. Very clean , with well stocked tea , coffee. more available in breakfast room to restock. if required. Snacks and soft drinks available for purchase at reasonable cost. Books and games available to borrow if required. Excellent breakfast with good choice. pleasant breakfast room. Friendly chats with owner. Would recommend.

This was our third stay at Geckos Rest and it was absolutely excellent as always. Amy and John are so welcoming and lovely hosts, the breakfasts are fantastic and the rooms clean and comfy, and the B&B is in an absolutely excellent location within a 5 minute walk down into the town! There's nothing we didn't like about our stay at Geckos Rest - we'll definitely be back next year!

This was one of the nicest places we have stopped at. Spotlessly clean everywhere and attention to detail was fabulous, lovely breakfast and our hosts couldn't do enough we loved it, would definitely recommend staying here - we will be going back
