The Headland Hotel and Spa

A hotel of pure class. From the warm, welcoming reception upon arrival to the excellent customer service of all the staff. This hotel was in a league of its own. Beautiful location on the Fistral beach. Lovely room which overlooked the spa and had ocean views. The lounge downstairs was very comfortable, with plenty of places to sit. We were lucky enough to have a pianist amongst the guests to play some tunes in the evenings, which were beautiful to listen to. The staff in Ren Mor restaurant were first class!! Professional. Friendly. Courteous. And above all, really happy in their job, which is not always the case in customer facing roles, so this was lovely to see. Don’t even get me started on the food at Ren Mor restaurant. There aren’t enough words to describe excellence!! Literally Michelin Star ⭐️ restaurant. Gordan Ramsey would struggle to find fault!! And that’s saying something. We haven’t had food this good…….Ever!! Fine dining at its best. Paradise on a plate!! Beautifully presented. Perfectly cooked. Tastes and flavours like nothing else we’ve ever had. Absolutely superb. And all sourced from local produce which is a big thumbs up!! We were fortunate enough to use the restaurant every night of our stay. When we booked the hotel, they had an offer on of £55 per person per day towards an evening meal. So some of our meals were costing between £2 to £20 for a three course meal. Depending if we had drinks as the voucher didn’t cover that. The deal was phenomenal. We wouldn’t have been eating in there every night without it, because with fine dining, comes with fine pricing. So we were thoroughly spoiled!! The Aqua club facilities were fantastic but unfortunately for us we only got to use the 25 meter pool due to the outdoor pool and jacuzzi always being busy. We found that a lot of guests were placing towels down early in the mornings and also were members there. But the spa in the basement was relaxing and tranquil. Our room was kept lovely by staff. And the bed was huge, but a little uncomfortable for us, so didn’t sleep well. But outside of that could not fault it. This hotel is one that you have to stay in at least once in your lifetime.

Fabulous afternoon tea in old fashioned luxury- we felt pampered and unrushed. A perfect lazy afternoon , the cakes were beautiful, scones and sandwiches delicious. The coffee was also very good- highly recommend! We dined in the ballroom/ lounge area which was lovely however the renmor restaurant looks fairly recently renovated and it looks super! We felt £30 pp was reasonable. We will be returning.

Stunning. Room, views, food, spa - amazing. This place is not cheap however it is absolutely worth it. The spa and views are amazing. We booked a last minute deal which included the room, spa, breakfast and £55pp dinner allowance. Well worth a visit.

Very last minute we booked The Headland for our elopement wedding. From the first email Kerry and her team were amazing. They helped us to get everything booked and sorted and just right for our special day. Upon arrival we were made to feel welcome and important. All of the staff knew we were there to get married and we were marked as ‘VIP’, offering us the best table and checking we were comfortable. Beki and the team really made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. We had booked their ‘best’ room and were simply blown away with how it looked and the view of the sea and Fistral bay. On our wedding day, Sarah the concierge came and found me as I waited downstairs for my new bride. She was such a warm person and really made me feel relaxed, on what was most undoubtedly a nerve-racking day. Overall, the experience at The Headland was the best we had ever had. I have stayed in many hotels all around the world and this was definitely the best!

Afternoon was a great family experience food and tea all great as was the experience in the RenMor dining room Cakes were excellent we had 2 lots of tea all in the main price . Service was generally good but on couple of occasions we couldn’t get the attention of the staff which was a little frustrating as they were nearby but not looking ever in our direction- early on they were superb .. so 4/5 only for this reason.

The rooms were not refurbished even if I was confirmed they were when booking. The rooms were very dirty. You could not even see the ocean from the windows. The bathroom was not cleaned after the first night. The spa and the pools were crowded with kids shouting and running around. The pools are very small. The landscape around is great, but the hotel needs serious refurbishment and cannot be considered a 5* hotel. Also the cups and glasses during breakfast and dinner were dirty. There is no direct indoor connection between the hotel and the spa.

Stayed at the Headland for the first time for my birthday weekend having always admired it from afar. I had a pre-conceived idea of what it would be like but it was not anything like I had thought! The staff were super helpful and friendly, the rooms are fabulous. We stayed in a coastal suite with views of the ocean and the facilities were superb. The bed was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. We were constantly asked if we needed anything else from the staff. We used the aqua club 3 times and the spa for relaxation. Breakfast and dinner were exquisite using local produce. We will definitely go back.

We’d originally booked a different hotel but on arrival found that to be incredibly claustrophobic so we turned up at the headland rather desperate ! Reception staff and concierge are so accommodating they really do go the extra mile ! Views are great hotel is warm in summer but they immediately provided us with fans and everything was great ! Comfy beds very clean ! Breakfast was great but evening meal does need to have more vegetarian options ! We would return

Beautiful location, fantastic staff and the cottages are delightful. Admittedly in a lovely part of the UK...e even so, Fistral beach is a perfect location for a family to enjoy the beach and sea...the Headland just makes this a wonderful experience in the round. I'll be back...
