Hotel in zona St Mary's Church, Edwinstowe

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my lifetime The good points are very limited but here they are: Friendly staff Plenty of parking at rear of the building Comfortable beds Very good quality towels Can open the window in the room Room clean and tidy And here are the bad points: Very dated Stained and tread bearing carpets on stairs Poor lighting Bath - shower curtain very dirty needs replacing and water is too hot when it comes out - be aware Not a lot clothes hangers On main road Unable to get soya milk for my room. They will bring the milk for breakfast was the answer I got and no decaf coffee in the room (I did bring some decaf coffee myself which I had to use at breakfast too as it was not available) No sound proofing to the room People on the corridor floor when I returned to my room as the children were sleeping in the room and they were not ready for bed. Never experienced this at any hotel I have stayed at before No toiletries supplied Half rolls of toilet paper No bath mat - had to use one of the hand towels Very noisy fan in the bathroom Let’s start on the breakfast which is served from 8am to 10am only Poor breakfast won’t change anything like the eggs even if you have dietary restrictions No decaf coffee at the breakfast room did get the soya milk Some of the fruit passed it best date High sugar cereals No yoghurt Poor choices for breakfast Croissants very dry and not warm at all The main restaurant on your right when you enter the building is bright and modern, it’s a shame that the rest of the building is not like that This hotel is worse than the hotel in the tv show Faulty Towers if remember that show Would I return to this place? NEVER

We didn’t book but the friendly front of house staff fitted us in, I’d advise booking as it was really busy. We both had the carvery on Sunday and it was really nice, all nice and hot. Would definitely recommend and come again. Very friendly staff, well done team 👏👏👏

The manager at this IBIS was a genuine 5-Star success. He was professional, courteous, focussed and helpful. Having stayed in numerous 5-Star hotels in Japan, Hong Kong and Shanghai in the past 20 years (and trained staff at several hotels including Hyatt and Hilton), this guy would easily fit in with any one of them. Needed convenient stopping point from Surrey to Chestefield, one night, for a funeral. Location ideal. Despite proximity to M1 itself, road noise was not excessive. Receptionist was really welcoming; gave me a choccie bar and bottle of water. You can stroll to the services for Mcdonald's or Costa - and WH Smith etc, (if open). . The overall decor is a bit 'tired' but everything was clean, bed fresh, coffee/tea facilities. Would have preferred the radio to be fitted by the bedside not table across the room (!). Freeview TV quite adequate for one night........ Bedroom was huge (guess it would double up as a family room at times) - and possibly I could have taken my dog with me, in which case the extra space was great. For functionality cannot fault.

The room /bed great, Other guests the problem, family 5 arrived 12 midnight, back & forth BANGING CAR DOORS each time, then 3.15am their car alarm goes off, night staff phoned her and her reply ”its always doing that” My suggestion you have LARGE notice outside and in rooms (as they doo at airports) Please close you doors silently as others are sleeping 24 hours -- some travelers sleep in late so it applies in day light hours too. Receptionist Katie was very helpful re where we could have breakfast and about voucher, which we bought, good value

La parte migliore di questo alloggio è la sua posizione per gli stadi di calcio e cricket. La stanza era piccola, molto mobili di base. Il bagno era piccolo, la doccia era estremamente calda, ma non potevamo più rimuoverla. Nessuna cassetta in bagno per pezzi e bob. Il singolo è molto piccolo. Il letto era molto morbido biscotti necessita di sostituire. Il pavimento era molto polvere. Le scale sono molto strette. Parcheggio è dietro la proprietà. Le lame sono alla fine della strada. McDonald's è in giro.
