Hotel on Rivington

I was worried about the recent negative reviews, but my experience was fairly good. I think there’s a systemic problem between third-party booking sites like Trip.com and the hotel where the room you get assigned is not necessarily what you wanted. In our case we paid for a Deluxe King, in part for the standing shower in the website photos. The room we were assigned had a tub, and the front desk was accommodating in switching us to the room we wanted. Room was clean, showing some wear and age, but generally well appointed (although the art is weird). Location is good around the corner from a subway stop. WiFi was alright in the room, but the 2nd floor lobby was fast and not a bad place to do some remote work.

Foto’s en filmpjes komen niet overeen met de werkelijkheid. De locatie zou ik niet nog een keer kiezen, hotel is echt wel verouderd. Kamer was wel groot voor New York en goede airco. Maar voor het bedrag zou ik iets anders boeken of bijv in Hoboken gaan zitten.

Questo hotel ha visto giorni migliori. Molte cose sono rotte e in rovina come finestre, aria condizionata e la maggior parte dei servizi sono piuttosto scarni. I panorami sono belli da sopra il 10° piano o giù di lì, ma la finestra della doccia potrebbe non chiudersi. Il letto almeno è comodo. Questo hotel era fantastico quando è stato aperto e anche 10 anni fa, quando rimanevo qui e organizzavo persino feste qui, ma mi sento davvero malandato e datato.

The room didnt looked like on the pictures. Strange entrance to the hotel. The hotel had a stain on the carpet and we had to order a maid when we arrived to do the bathroom cleaning. The area is very lively and in the night i feel unsafe as a woman. The staff was friendly but could not offer us a other room even we were not happy about it. We also could not get a refound and search another hotel.

Beware. ******* is falsely representing this property with the photos they post. We expected to have a view of the skyline based on the photos posted and the price. Our view was a typical low rent view of another buildings wall. The views that ******* posts may be available...but you probably won't see them. The staff was friendly and helpful, but were unwilling to give us a different room or a refund stating that they've tried to work with ******* to update their pictures and make it clear that not all rooms are afforded the view represented on the website. They did waive their facility fee of $35 per day for use of the gym, lounge (help yourself coffe/tea and a few couches overlooking the view we did not get) and wifi. Those amenities should be included in the price. It was nice of them, but it did not compensate us for the disappointing stay.

We really enjoyed the 20th floor lounge. We had an early flight into JFK so our room wasn’t ready. We were able to take a nap and rest up there, enjoying the beautiful views and hot chocolate.

Rooms are clean and spacious, but need a bit of maintenance. Staff really not helpful or welcoming. Decent for the price!

I've stayed at this hotel before, I love the location and size of the rooms. The last time I stayed here I did think the hotel was in a bit better condition. I also love how they used to have le labo products, but now they do not. The free wine hour is nice though.
