Hotel is nothing special, what you'd expect for the price, clean and ok size room/bathroom.
What I didn't expect was a window that you couldn't see out of so not able to identify what was attached to the wall outside making a noise all night the noise coming from the bathroom fan which wouldn't switch off
The 'resort' fee which US hotels like to add per day to every bill will always be a bone of contention.

Great location and good room size and bathroom. Could do with more light in rooms and clean windows. Otherwise, central to everything and staff were helpful.

Concierge number is limited but their services were impressive and well-rounded.
As a boutique hotel, the impression of concierge is important and their awareness and standard was beyond my expectations.
Releasing conditioner and body cream bottles. was difficult.

Wonderfully clean. Housekeeping was outstanding. Very quiet (…well, a little New York crept in), but a great hotel. Would recommend highly and will stay again when in NYC.

Understand no room cleaning unless by request, but we called at 3 pm to have room cleaned not knowing we needed to ask, and the attendant informed us that they stopped cleaning by 5. I asked if they could come and no one ever came.

It wasn't cleared to me that the A/C is turned off during "winter months" (this includes early April) and only the heat is on. When we checked in, the room was 90 degrees. We turned the A/C on thinking it would help, but it just made the room hotter. We were instructed to open the window instead, but the window wasn't openable. The front desk moved us to another room where the window did open, but we still had heat problems. The room was 84 degrees all night long, despite the outside temperature being 40 degrees. It was unbearably hot, and the small fan they provide for each room did not suffice for helping to bring the room down to a manageable heat. The location was great, so I was excited while checking in, but no part of the actual "stay" at the hotel was enjoyable or comfortable.
