Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast

We loved Auld Sweet Olive! The house was beautiful and comfortable and our room was great. It's located in the Faubourg Marigny District which is just next to the French District but quieter and safer. We could walk to the French District or take the little street car that was three blocks away and ran across the top of the French District and could be used to go to the Garden District. There were great restaurants just a block or two away. The St. Roch Market is a real gem - 12 vendors and a little bar in an old farmers' market. Everything we had there was fantastic and it was very handy if we were out and missed dinner or needed to grab a quick bit of lunch. Who Dat Coffee is a block away in the other direction and you have to have breakfast there at least once, even though breakfast at Sweet Olive is very good. Kate, the inn keeper, is highly competent, a great cook, and tons of fun. We felt like we had a new friend by the time we left. We stayed in the Palmento Room. It was very cutely decorated and comfortable with a convenient door to the very pleasant outside pool area. The only down side for us was that the adorable antique bathtub was a bit scary for older people in their 70s like we are. However, each room is different and many have showers that would be better for old people, so it's an easy to solve problem if you know in advance what you need and can specify that. We loved the Auld Sweet Olive and Kate and highly recommend it.

This place is awesome. Great location in a nice quiet neighborhood but close to great bars and restaurants and walkable to bourbon street. Great breakfast with delicious baked goods. Nice unique rooms. Super friendly hosts. We are totally coming back when we visit NOLA again.

The welcoming house, landscaping complete with a beautiful pool and hot tub, and everyone who works here is beyond kind and generous. We stayed around the corner for 18 years until it sold. We've tried several other places and now, with this stay, a new place with new memories has begun to unfold. Communication was precise and clear regarding checkin. Kate, Darin and Jeff, thank you for everything. To be continued on our next trip. 1001 thank yous.

Staying at Auld Sweet Olive Bnb was such an incredible experience. Great location, walking distance to everything, the home itself is so charming and cozy, and the innkeeper, Kate is an absolutely gem!!! Will definitely return when i am back and recommending this place to all. Thank you!

We stayed here to celebrate a milestone birthday and couldn’t have been happier. The property was gorgeous, everyone on staff was kind and welcoming, and the location was perfect. Kate especially went above and beyond in helping me plan a small get-together and a few fun birthday surprises. We highly recommend this property and would absolutely choose it again. Highly recommend!! I stayed in the Courtyard Suite over Christmas week. We had a family get together for the holidays at Auld Sweet Olive and it was so much fun! The breakfasts are outstanding. All of the staff we encountered were super friendly, competent, and extra accommodating. The pool, hot tub, and courtyard area were perfect. Ideal location within walking distance of Frenchman and Bourbon Streets and a natural food grocery across the street. So amazing! Will definitely stay again. Highly recommend the Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast! Can't wait to come back and stay here again.
