This was our third time staying here, and it has really improved since our first two visits. The spa / pool decking area has been extended, there's an additional outdoor pool, and the gardens have been superbly landscaped with new play equipment added. The overall experience at the hotel has also improved . There were some lovely details, like a personalised welcome message for our children on arrival in their bedrooms, and name plates pre-arranged on the table at dinner times. The kids' club was well run and cinema evenings with popcorn is another nice touch. Generally the staff are much better organised than on our previous visits, and conspicuously polite and helpful, even at pressurised meal-times when the dining rooms are very busy. It makes a real difference to have service with a genuine smile rather than a scowl. The one gripe that remains from our previous visits is the slow service at mealtimes. Sitting down to a pre-booked 7pm dinner for children but the first food not arriving until 7:40pm is not good enough given the price-point of the hotel.

What can I say about our stay at the Rhinefield Hotel? Absolutely outstanding. My partner booked an overnight stay in the Walker Suite (Bridal Suite) for my 30th Birthday and we lived like Kings & Queens! On arrival we were greeted by Harry at the door who checked us in and carried our bags to our room, as well as a history tour of the hotel. So friendly & welcoming. The hotel decor is beautiful, the attention to detail is second to none and the staff are so attentive and thoughtful. We were offered complimentary champagne, prosecco & other drinks and snacks which was a lovely touch. I also had a 55 minute full body massage which was definitely needed and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only criticism is that there was very few chairs in the pool area to use when it was busy. The menu tasting experience at dinner was delicious and we had a very friendly and knowledgeable waiter (Jeremy) who made our evening even better. The morning after we were welcomed with a stunning breakfast delivered to our room by Jeremy. We left our order hung on our door the night before and there was so much choice. We opted for the full English breakfast, pastries & fresh orange juice. Jeremy called our room phone to let us know our breakfast was on its way to us which was great. 10/10 - delicious! What a treat to tuck into our food overlooking the hotel gardens. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Such a special way to celebrate turning 30 and I will most definitely be back. Burley Manor is a lovely hotel with an amazing countryside view, you can see the deer that come through on to the main grounds. I had paid for a package that included the following for my partners birthday - Afternoon Tea Spa massage 1-night stay The afternoon tea was sublime the room where we were sat was lovely and decorated well. All the cakes and sandwiches were freshly baked/ made on-site, we couldn't even finish all the little cakes and treats at the afternoon tea. - 10/10 would recommend. She had the Drift away massage and it was so relaxing definitely recommend getting a massage or a spa treatment. The rooms were really nice and decorated tastefully, the beds were comfy and the pillows were so fluffy! We also booked a dinner at the hotel (was not apart of the package), the dinner was incredible my partner had the Lamb which was melt in your mouth and I had the chicken which was succulent and juicy. Bonus - as it was my birthday we had rose champagne given to us on the house! This was very nice and made the stay even better. The best part of the stay was how comfortable we felt at the hotel, the staff need a round of applause as they were very accommodating and welcoming. Their waiting skills were impeccable and genuinely did not feel uncomfortable at any point. Overall I would definitely recommend Burley Manor and will definitely be returning in the near future.
