Schloss Engers

We really looked forward to our stay at the Residence of this hotel. We chose a slighly hoger priced room as we wanted a bit of luxury. To be fair the room was absolutely gorgeous. It a passiv building which means it is energy neutral. Unfortunately the room was very warm. We had to use the fan that was provided but even then we couldn’t use the bedding as it was still very hot. The booking process was not effortless as we arrived after 7 and then they have a special protocol as there is nobody at reception. It took several phone calls to finally get the information on how we had to check in. I think their English isn’t great. And then the next day the biggest disappointment: there was no breakfast! In the booklet we got it said breakfast until 10am but when we arrived at 9:30 on the door it said: breakfast until 9 (weekdays). So we had to leave Hungry and had to look for a place to have breakfast. Also we asked for a discount as we didn’t have breakfast and all she could offer was a 7 euro per person discount. What can you get for 7 euro’s? Maybe a croissant and a coffee. I don’t consider that breakfast. It’s a four star hotel with 1 star service. The room was 180 euro’s and we payed 166. Shameless. We will Never recommend this hotel to anybody and certainly will never come back.

Es wurde am 13.07.2022 ein Insolvenzantrag gestellt und alle Kunden mit Gutscheinen wurden um die Rückzahlung gebracht. Wir wurden erst mit der Einlösung und dann mit der Rückzahlung hingehalten. Alle Geschädigten sollten sich anwaltlich beraten lassen!
