Eriks Hotel

Accommodation was clean and adequate for an over night stay. Rooms are too small for a comfortable longer stay. Evening dining was good. An interesting ‘European’ menu and for the dishes I chose was well prepared. However the dining area itself was very cramped with diners sitting on top of each other providing no privacy and certainly not conducive to a more intimate dining experience. What would have been overall a good experience, save the above comments, the hotel was critically let down by a rushed and unpleasant breakfast experience orchestrated by surly and inattentive breakfast staff. Surprising as the other hotel staff were very pleasant.

Since my connecting flight from Munich was canceled, I was accommodated in this hotel for the night, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The room was well-equipped, functional, and very quiet. Best of all, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. The fixed-menu dinner was excellent, and the service from both the reception and waiting staff was outstanding. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

I missed my connection in Munich airport after my incoming flight arrived late. I was offered this hotel by Lufthansa. I was hoping to stay in Munich but that was what they offered! Pro: 1- The hotel is clean and in good shape 2- Room are up to standards 3- The restaurant was nice. They have a Lufthansa menu for the dinner with limited choices but you can probably pay and order what you want. The dinner was good although the protein in Salamon Pasta dish was very limited 4- Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. They have eggs in the buffet but you can't order an omelet, or at least it was not offered. Midway: 1- Erik (the owner) is so nice and has a full time smile (I made sure to thank him for his service and good business and shake his hand before leaving). Not sure if it is a family business or not but some were very nice & some were not very helpful. For example, the young man who checked me in was blunt. I didn't know where I was from Munich and when I asked if I can go to the city or if there is any other thing to do other than sleeping, he was not helpful. He booked me for a dinner sitting without asking if this is a good time! 2- The driver speaks no English. when I arrived, he was not very nice, in my opinion, but by the end of the trip, we were getting along. Cons: 1- This is not the right place for a solo or a family with kids. My joke after my trip was this is the place you take you mistress to and your wife will never find you. It is literally out in a village or a very small town. It is nice for a romantic vacation or if you want to be alone in a quiet place. I liked it but I would prefer to be near the city 2- I noticed a bus stop but you will probably need a car if you decided to stay there 3- Door closes after a certain hour Overall, a nice place if you are staying the night to catch a flight or staying on an airline expense and you have no plans to do anything other than watching TV, reading or sleeping. It is probably excellent for a romantic vacation with your partner. Clean rooms, and nice food.

We ended up on this “establishment” as a Lufthansa accommodation for an overnight delay. the place appears clean but that’s all the positive thing about it. The staff treated us from the beginning as unwanted guests. The staff rudeness and impertinence culminated in the early morning when they wanted to cram in the van, 3 members of my family on two seats. When I raised the safety concerns for not to be able to use the seatbelt, the staff literally kicked us out from the van, and thrown our luggage on the ground. The van departed without us and they suggested to call for a cab on our on expense while they were paid and mandated by Lufthansa to fulfill this contract. Aside from the rudeness and impertinence of the hotel staff, the consideration for the safety should be a must. For this behaviour they should be out of business. Lufthansa was notified also.

We had a reservation at this hotels restaurant for Dinner. My partner had been a couple of times and always had good food and service. However this time they got it seriously wrong. We arrived at 6:40pm and did get drinks for 20 minutes, another 20 minutes waiting for a cold starter then 45 minutes for our main courses. Despite chasing our orders the servers and head waiter just ignored us. The food was really good however we had gone past the point of wanting to eat it took so long on a Tuesday night! I fed this back to the head waiter who just refused to accept any responsibility and instead tried to endorse the experience we’d had as something he was trying to create. Very disappointing. Unfortunately if this restaurant carries on like this it wont be in business for long. Such a shame as the food was good. Its also worth make the point this wasnt a cheap meal and my experience should count as I am the customer!

Stopped here for lunch and was amazed by the restaurant. Decided to spend a night and experience the dinner and stay. 1. Hotel room Good linens and towels. Good pillows. Excellent soaps and shampoo Stylish new and nice. All you need nothing you don’t. 2. Dinner We had the dinner and stay special so the menu was set. However it was delicious. Very. Italian ish but I loved it all. The home made bread is to die for. 3. Breakfast Simply amazing! Fresh cocked omelette and fresh bread with all the goodness. Grand padano, iberico hams and amazing yogurt All in all I say this is the best in Munich. Location is a bit tricky to find but it’s quiet and comfy
