Needles: hotel a 2 stelle

We made the reservation for this hotel during our six hour back up on I 40. By the time we got to the hotel, all we wanted was a comfy bed and a bit of quiet. We got all that and more. The hotel was sold out, and we watched as the desk person was so kind and helpful to people coming in without reservations, he was a very impressive young man, I'm sorry we didn't get his name. Breakfast the next morning was at the restaurant next door, and it was exceptional, consisting of hot and cold options, and attentive and welcoming wait staff. Overall GREAT experience!

Arrived late in the evening. The night auditor was very pleasant and made for a swift check in. Made sure to point out the stairs closest to use to access my room, which was great as my brain was done for the day haha. This was one of the cleanest rooms I’ve been in. There was a wonderful personal note written by housekeeping that was very welcoming and showed care for a guest. Only gripe, and this is really just preference, was the water pressure. It makes sense though for water conservation. It was still hot and good to go. I felt the pillows trapped a lot of heat though. The sheets are in good condition A/c kept up just fine. Had reasonable breakfast hours. Thanks for the stay.

Abbiamo dovuto aspettare molto al nostro ufficio, poi siamo arrivati nella nostra stanza e abbiamo scoperto quanto fosse sporco. Erano voli morti ovunque, le foglie erano sporche, i capelli nel bagno e la doccia, e il bagno non era stato pulito. Abbiamo chiesto di avere un'altra stanza e abbiamo dato la porta accanto.La chiave non funzionava, dovevo tornare a dire il problema. Quando sono tornato, la chiave non funzionava ancora. Il dipendente è venuto a aprire la porta con un'altra chiave, ma non possiamo usare la nostra. L'aria condizionata non era sul (è 45° Celsius fuori) quindi la stanza è molto calda e ci vuole tempo per raffreddare. Le foglie sono ancora sporche, così è il pavimento. Ci sono solo un asciugamano per le mani e un piccolo (e sporco) asciugamano per due adulti ... Inoltre, qui non ci sentiamo al sicuro.

This was surely a curious arrangement: Two brands under one roof! Thankfully, we got the ”Quality” side, a decent rate, comfortable beds and a good nights sleep. Unfortunately, as in almost every other location on every other morning, we were up and gone before breakfast, and so missed out on one of the more meaningful amenities. (In 12 locations we probably had breakfast only 4-5 times). It's a fun location, atop a small rise with a view over the city. Beyond that, there was nothing memorable, either pro or con, but we were satisfied and grateful to have a place to lay our heads for the night.

We arrived ready to take our room shortly before 3 p.m. I had called previously to inquire about the pet fee and was told it was $10 per pet; when I arrived I was told it was $25 per pet. (We have two dogs, so it adds up.) We decided to accept the inflated fee as a possible mistake all around. But my husband wanted to swim and the pool was half empty, and the pool could not be used for several hours. So we decided to cancel. The owner said that would be no problem -- and then charged me the full amount for cancellation, even though it was now only 20 minutes beyond the cancellation period. Had she said she would charge me anyway we would have stayed. Now we are at the nearby Rio del Sol, where the room is twice as big, cleaner, the pool fully filled and the pet fee as quoted on the phone. Do yourself a favor: Avoid the Days Inn. Wyndham ought to pull its branding.
