L’alloggio è stupendo e rende il soggiorno a Hydra ancora più un sogno. La posizione è ottimale, vicina al porto e comoda da raggiungere. Oltretutto è silenziosa. C’è un bellissimo balcone grande e con vista mare con tutti i comfort (ombrelloni, sedie, tavolo, sdraio). La casa è estremamente pulita (ogni giorno viene pulita e vengono cambiati gli asciugamani, sempre profumati). La doccia è grande e dotata anche di idromassaggio. In bagno ci sono shampoo, balsamo e latte per il corpo della Korres (ottima). C’è un phon nuovo e professionale e anche asciugamani per il mare. Per finire, la cosa che mi ha commosso, per l’importanza che ha per me la colazione: ogni mattina Yannis porta pane fresco (é possibile anche fare dei panini da portare con sé). C’è la macchina del caffè e le capsule, marmellate, miele, burro, latte, fette biscottate, yogurt, succo di frutta, cereali, biscotti, formaggio e prosciutto per chi ama la colazione salata e ogni giorno una bottiglia di acqua nuova. Insomma, c’e tutto! Yannis è sempre disponibile a dare consigli. C’è molta flessibilità per il check in e check out e Yannis ci è venuto a prendere al porto anche se siamo arrivati la sera tardi. Piccole, grandi attenzioni che rendono il soggiorno ancora più bello. Grazie di tutto Yannis!

My recent stay at Hydras Chromata was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a world of impeccable service and breathtaking beauty. The hotel's location is ideally situated, offering panoramic views that promise to enchant any traveler.

We had an exhibition at the Hydra museum [Sculptures by Rita Habermann] and had to come to an island, staying at a hotel within walking and no-step distance of the Museum. Hydra Chromate fit the bill. The room was fine, the sleep was prefect and the environment enticing. The only two issues was that 1/there was no salt and pepper in the kitchen [I asked we need that for eggs we cook in the morning to which the answer was: that's why we don't supply eggs with breakfast!!] and 2/ we had friends staying in a room above us whose water pipes broke during the night and flooded their room [our friend has movement problems]. I found out in the morning and called the number of the person responsible but no one picked the phone. By chance a lady arrived and I informed her of the problem. I suggested they credit one night and they said they wouldn't because they fixed the problem quickly!! This is unacceptable customer relations. Apart from that, as I said earlier, the stay was nice and uneventful.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Hydra look no further. We have just arrived back in Athens after a 2 night stay here. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We are definitely going back in 2024. Yannis sent us a text enquiring which ferry we would be on. He met us at the port and walk the short distance to our apartment. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. We hadn’t booked b&b but yannis makes sure we had all the breakfast items we needed. There was everything we could thing of. Water, milk and juice was also provided. Every morning Yannis goes out to buy fresh bread for all the apartments and hangs them on the doors. Yannis and his mum made our experience so much more than we anticipated. He was knowledgeable and said we could call him at any hour if we had a problem (which we didn’t) The apartments are in a great location, not to high up and super market in close proximity. Lots of bars and restaurants surrounding. The view from our terrace was stunning. Hydra Cromata we will be back 😍😍

Hydra is perfect and Hydra Chromata was great choice to stay. It is beautiful, clean and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning was great and the location perfect. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely return.

I have not been to Hydra before, so I didn't know where to stay so I picked Hydras Chromata based on reviews. We stayed in the Senior apartment. This was an awesome place, very spacious 2 bedroom 2.5 bath with a large living room and kitchen which separates the 2 bedrooms. There is a great restaurant steps away and a grocery store perhaps 50 meters away. The port is a 2 minute walk. Anna, the host, was great. Every morning there was fresh bread hanging on the door. The fridge was stocked with milk orange juice, meat and cheese for snacks plus yogurt and other breakfast treats. I will only stay here when we return. No regrets.

The location, rooms and breakfast provided were great, highly recommend the accommodations. The host provided us restaurant recommendations which ended up to be the our favourite spots in Hydra. We were three couples and had two rooms, both were very nice. I would have given them five stars but communication regarding the reservation could be improved.

The Chromata was our home for 3 nights while we were visiting Idra in May 2022. Yannis was a perfect host, pleasant, knowledgeable and willing to help with suggestions for enjoying the town. English speaking, he was always there if you needed him but never intrusive. The hotel is located within a 10 minute stroll from the harbor on a quiet street. Having reserved a “room” in this establishment, we were surprised to find it a suite composed of an airy, well furnished living room with a large kitchen area and bed room with en-suite bathroom. The bed and mattresses were comfortable. The fridge was stocked with full breakfast fare. There was milk, Greek yogurt, various jams, meats, cheeses and so on. There was hot coffee and tea, cake and condiments; honey, olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper; also a full complement of dishes and silverware and a dishwasher in which to clean them. Every morning, Yannis delivered a fresh loaf of bread, hot from the oven. Every day we ate breakfast on our private terrace and snacked on the food whenever we came back to the room during the day
