Naxos Island Hotel

This is a quaint hotel in a great location. The staff is so accommodating and friendly . The rooms are spacious and clean. The rooftop pool is fantastic with an amazing view. Each room has its own small balcony. The hotel is so small that there is no fighting for pool lounge chairs. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a very nice boutique hotel with an incredible location. Right in town and across street from the ocean. The rooms are large and well appointed. The staff are so nice and hardworking making everything nice! Breakfast is excellent! They have a regular driver to take you places at a very reasonable price. Would definitely stay here again! Omg they will even bring coffee to your room in the morning at no charge.

While planning the trip, we were told that Naxos was a must-see island and that Agios Prokopios Beach was the best beach on the island. This hotel was a great choice as it was right near the beach, many of the restaurants and anything else you could want (car/motorcycle/atv rentals). Room was quiet and spacious and the AC was cold. The housekeeping staff kept it super clean. Shower was good enough with the pressure. Really impressed with the front desk managers (Antonia and Panagiotis) as the arranged everything from taxi service to laundry to restaurant recommendations. Both were Super pleasant! Complementary breakfast was awesome! Didn’t get the (tall) gentleman’s name who was our waiter, but he worked tirelessly to make it perfect. Naxos is a great choice and this is a great hotel. Definitely recommend it.

Pros: good location, all areas kept clean with caveat below, friendly staff. Rooftop restaurant and pool setting nice. Cons: dated with mouldy cornices, corroded bathroom fittings. Gym not usable - rusted equipment, dirty and clearly not in service.

I find the reviews and pictures of Naxos Island Hotel exaggerated. We stayed 4 nights/5 days in one of the lower units with hot tub not because we wanted a hot tub (we didn’t!) but because there was very little accommodation choice available in the busy tourist season. I read the reviews and thought how bad could it be. Pros: Location is good, close to the beach and there’s a good restaurant right in front of the hotel. The young lady at the front desk is super sweet, friendly and happy to set you up with activities etc. She’s the star! Breakfast is just ok. Cons: our room basically had no natural light, definitely no view, old outdated furnishings, bathroom clean but mold. Gym same. Definitely not worth the money we paid for this accommodation. In addition, we were charged 40euro “cash” as the government tax on departure. That was significantly higher than any of the other hotels we stayed at that were similar category and length of stay. In hindsight, we should have picked another island. Pro tip: avoid the ground level units.

This rooftop restaurant is lovely. Book a table at sunset. The food is wonderful and the view is lovely. They even recreated The Portara on the rooftop. There is also a telescope for viewing the moon and the stars. The Manager and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Great photo's!

I want to start with the pros; the staff was very nice, especially the young lady at the reception desk. She ordered us cabs & helped us get a rental ATV which we really appreciated! The breakfast was a standard spread but good, and they make you eggs and coffee to order, which were also pretty good! Lastly, It is a 2 minute walk to Agios Prokopios beach, very very close and the beach itself is very nice. With that being said let’s go over the cons. This hotel claims to be 4+ star, which I just don’t agree with. I’d give this a hotel 3 stars if I was being really generous but honestly 2 stars is more accurate. “Spa” and “Gym” area were under construction and unusable. Bed is very uncomfortable with no comforter just two small “blankets” closer to a sheet thickness than a blanket. One night our AC wouldn’t work (seemingly for no reason, all the windows were shut and it just stopped working), so we opened them window but were then eaten up by mosquitoes. Obviously not the hotels fault for the mosquitoes but there is no reason they ac should randomly stop working in the middle of the night. Shower and amenities are subpar, the entire hotel honestly reminded me of a best western. Bidet on toilet but wasn’t hooked up. No ironing board or hair dryer. Shower setup is weird, it is designed horribly and just uncomfortable to stand in. Water takes minutes to heat up, and even one morning there was almost no water pressure at all. They had maid service everyday but somehow it always still felt dirty in the room, specifically the floors. TV is a tiny little rinky dinker with barely any working channels. They don’t provide water after your first day & if you buy it from their bar it’s $4 a bottle. Not a big deal but we stayed at other hotels & airbnb’s and this was the only place that didn’t provide at least 1 bottle a day. I would again like to reiterate the staff was SUPER nice!! But it is advertised as a 4+ star hotel and it just isn’t. For the price you pay (we paid $300 a night), i’d highly recommend staying somewhere else. We had originally booked 4 nights and ended up leaving a day early. We got an airbnb and it was much nicer.
