I booked this hotel part of a group and really loved the location. There are plenty of stores and restaurants that are walkable and there are many vineyards close by. I happened to call the hotel prior to my arrival to ensure that I received a room with two queen beds. I spoke o the manager, who just so happened to answer the phone named Blossom. She was truly a delight. She made sure that the room I was staying in had the set up I requested and once I arrived I asked for her and she actually came from her office and greeted me with a huge hug. She is certainly the gem of this location. The bar happy hour was a treat. It is very affordable and filling. We actually had the happy hour food as dinner the first evening we arrived. Unfortunately it’s only available Monday through Friday so be sure to pop in for the happy hour if you stay during the week. The reason whey I’m giving the hotel four stars is because we spent a day relaxing at the pool and let me say the pool gets pretty packed. We placed several orders for food and drinks and because there’s only one bar at the pool the bar tender was also the pool waiter. This turned into a mess upon check out because my final bill had other guests orders on the bill. I went to the front desk to advise them that there was an error on my bill and the young lady was sort of rude stating that all of the bill is my pool order. I had to actually have her print my bill, go line by line and pull the receipts from the pool in order to prove that I did not sign for all of that food and drinks. Once she saw that a lot of bills with my room number had various signatures she was very quick to apologize and make the corrections. I felt as if she should have heard me out prior to jumping to conclusions as if I was trying to get over. Other than the check out experience the hotel was great and there are so many vineyards that give free tastings in the lobby that you immediately know you have arrived in Napa.

Have stayed here multiple times over the years and it feels like it is showing its age with not a lot of reinvestment, surprising given the high rates they are charging. Rooms feel very spartan and tired. Bed is comfortable. The few outlets are supplemented by an extension cord for the lamb between the 2 beds. Lighting in bathroom very dim. No facial tissues left by housekeeping. Room got VERY STUFFY if you don't run the A/C full time and the A/C is VERY NOISY. We were given a top floor room, east-facing room facing the hills (not facing front of hotel with parking lot and busy Highway 29) and like that (except for the morning sun). There is only one elevator. Coffeemaker is 2-cup style using small tray packets, stale flavor. Mini-frig worked well. Complimentary breakfast was kept full and included 2 types of meat and 2 types of egg dishes. Property to be commended for no bogus fees. There are not a lot of better choices in this area for mid-level chain hotels, unfortunately. A better choice if you are OK with the distance is the new Residence Inn in nearby Fairfield.

This is a beautiful hotel and a great place to stay if you are wanting to visit Napa / Yountville. I do think it is overpriced for what I paid however going during summer break was likely a big factor in the pricing so not a big complaint. The pool facilities were very nice, the loungers were very comfy and the area was well attended by staff who were all extremely pleasant and always smiling. The only downside to the pool area were the beds which had 4 posts but no actual wall area to lean on. This meant that your only option was to lie down which I thought was a bit strange. The rooms were brilliant and in pristine condition, the beds were comfy and the shower was nice and large. The hotel is in a great location, it is within walking distance to all the main restaurants and centre of Yountville however they do also offer a complimentary shuttle service should you wish. While overall it was an amazing hotel, there was a part of it which irritated me. This was the fact that included in your resort fee was a $50 credit for food & drink but this was not mentioned to us at all during check-in and we only found out after reading it on the website. Regardless, the hotel was brilliant and should we return to the wonderful town of Yountville we would be more than happy staying here again.
