The hotel is close to the stores and streets of the Shao aboriginal village, so it is convenient for shopping, eating and buying souvenirs. With a stay here, you can easily roam around Sun Moon Lake. Ida Shao Resort is only 500 meters away from the Sun Moon Lake Gondola Station. If you walk along the Ida Shao Waterfront Trail and enjoy the lake view, you can reach the Sun Moon Lake Gondola Station in about 5-7 minutes.

The location is near to the Itashao wharf .. so you can take the ferry to round the sun moon lake. Room is clean and tidy… it’s quite spacious … overall is good

A little hard to find even though it’s on the main road, signage says Ita Guesthouse so we had to check building number. Parking is a little ways away but you can drop your bags in your room first. Their printed instructions to the lot were super helpful as it included pictures so you can see where you should be.
Check in staff was great and even confirmed what time restaurants close nearby. There’s a hot pot place right next door that looked good but we ended up at a family restaurant down one of the streets leading to the pier.
Make use of the mosquito repellent they have by reception! It’s hard to see those little black mosquitoes outside until it’s too late.

A really lovely and clean aesthetic hotel! We particularly enjoyed the afternoon tea in the lobby. The staff was friendly and available and the location was nice, next to the restaurants and bikes rentals. The only issue we encountered was the leaking sink in our bathroom which was not addressed.

The hotel is GREAT! The lobby is beautiful. Not as big as we expected, but compact and accommodating. The room is fantastic for such a price. It's also close with everything you need.
Unfortunately, the free parking spot is a bit far to walk, but since it's free, I can't complain.
For sure, we are willing to stay here again sometime.

The customer services provided by Larry is very good. He has provided suggestions and was able to answer our enquiries. This place is a 5-minute walk to the Sun Moon Lake. We loved the veranda!

We had a very pleasant stay with my wife and our two little kids. The location is excellent, within walking distance of everything we needed. Parking was available a short 5-minute walk away, which was quite convenient given the busy area. The room itself was clean, well-equipped with all necessities, and perfectly comfortable for a family.
The property also has a very nice lounge downstairs, a great space if you want to relax or meet other travelers. The only drawback was a faint lingering smell of cigarettes on the first floor—no one was smoking during our stay, so it seems to be from years past. Fortunately, the room itself was completely fresh and odor-free.
Overall, it was a great choice for families visiting Sun Moon Lake—comfortable, clean, and in an excellent location.

The receptionist is very polite and helpful, she even assisted me to park my car and came up to my room to check if the tv is working. I’m very satisfied with her hospitality.
