UUtente ospiteThis is a very well-run and well-designed homestay! It rates a 5 for cleanliness--my room and the public areas were all well-kept and tidy during my entire stay. Toiletries were good quality, towels were soft and clean, slippers were provided. The location is perfect--there are several cafes right down the path, and the lovely riverside walking/relaxing area is across the street, so it is a fun area. Although the riverside can be busy and lively, the homestay is slightly up the path, so it was never noisy in my room, even though my room faced the front. Additionally, from my balcony I could see the mountain, river, and trees, as well as some other old-style buildings. One can easily relax while sitting on that balcony from morning till night! An artistic woman runs this homestay, and she kindly gives information and advice about the local area. She loves nature, and can show you some awesome moths and butterflies, too! She speaks very functional English, so foreigners as well as Chinese can feel welcome and at home here. By the way, the breakfast is a Chinese-style breakfast and very delicious with plenty of food. Fruit was also offered several times during my stay! Very kind.

IIka_EllyThis is our third stay at this incredible hotel (a total of about 15 nights). We're a family of 4 people and have booked 2 rooms every time.
The food:
Breakfast has loads of options and it varies slightly from one morning to the next.
After breakfast there is high tea until 10PM. There you can have coffee, tea, juice, cakes, fruits, rice porridge etc., for free all day.
At 10PM the night meal starts. There you can eat noodles, also for free.
Snacks such as fruits and drinks, are delivered to the room in the evening.
The water:
There are bottles in the room, but there are also bottles by the elevator that you can take if you need more. So basically you can have as much water as you want.
The laundry service:
It's just one of the best aspects of this hotel.
We put your laundry outside the room in the morning, and when we came back in the afternoon it was in our room. Cleaned, dried and folded. For free!!
The staff:
All of the staff is very friendly and polite if it's the ladies at the reception, the men standing in front of the hotel, the cleaning ladies, the staff in the breakfast area... All of them nice and welcoming.
Late checkout (at 4PM at no extra cost).
The spa:
We went to the spa for a massage. It doesn't belong to the hotel even if it's a part of it. Very good experience. The ladies were nice and you can eat as much as you want (snacks or noodles), for free.
The bad aspects:
I honestly can't find any bad things to say about this hotel, even if I try!
We'll definitely be back.

From the moment we arrive at the reception, we feel warm with the friendly service. Our room is facing the TengWang pavillion with little extra bucks. Nice view both at day & night. Breakfast is decent with good choice. Kudos to all the staff in Mercure hotel. Especially thanks to Alex at reception who assisted me to contact the person on my next day at WangXian valley.

Although the staff are not fluent in English, they use translation sofrware to supplement their English language knowledge and the staff are extremely helpful. LLiuGreat experience at the Swiss Grand. Would probably stay here again. Room was clean, and the location was ideal for us. It's walking distance to Tengwangge, and close to many lively pedestrian streets. The hotel staff probably does not see many foreign visitors, so there was some confusion with our documents at check in. However, it was quickly resolved.

Non ho fatto foto dell'hotel, ma e'molto bene, perche' ho guidato un'auto della notte, e' passata la mattina, e' successo un po'di errore quando ho prenotato la stanza. La sorella della notte del servizio di ricetta e' molto paziente. Specialmente lode la sorella della notte del 19° giorno e 20° giorno del lavoro ～ È molto paziente. L'hotel ha un carico di elettricità nel cortile posteriore, molto amichevole per il tram. L'unico motivo per cui la porta sembra essere in costruzione di un ponte di alta struttura davanti alla porta, è che ci sono un posto di lavoro, ma l'effetto di isolamento sonoro della stanza è piuttosto buono. Non riesco a sentire il suono del corridoio e il suono della costruzione.
