I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mercure Nanchang Tengwang Pavilion, thanks to its warm service, unexpected upgrade, and unbeatable location. From check-in, Li Yuan (李媛）was friendly and attentive, swiftly handled requests, offered helpful tips for my stay and local areas and even answered my questions outside of her work time. She also offered a complimentary room upgrade, a room with great river view. Thanks to her genuine hospitality. The self-service laundry service provided by the hotel is very helpful and convenient. The breakfast has a good variety of freshly prepared food. The location is unbeatable. It’s steps away from the iconic Tengwang Pavilion, and a short walk to the metro (Line 1), riverside promenades, shopping streets (Zhongshan Road), and fantastic local restaurants. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers!

MERCURE Tengwang Pavillion hotel is located just across Tengwang Pavillion and offers a great night view. Lot of eateries around for food options. Room is very clean and staff is very friendly.They allowed me to early checkin at 10am and late checkout next day at 2pm. I want to specifically than Ella ,front desk hotel staff memeber who helped me with food options and any other travel related information. She is definitely a great employee for the hotel group and left a very warm impression for me.

Stayed here in end Oct. Ji Hotel entrance is just beside Mercure Hotel entrance, so don’t enter the wrong one. Comfortable bed with double pillows and the only hotel (out of 5 we stayed in this trip) that provided fridge and free mini bar in the room. Good breakfast spread and quality with local specialities like jar soup and noodles. However, the air conditioning in the room wasn’t working properly, so the room was warm and stuffy. When we called the reception about it, we were given a silly excuse and a standing fan which was dusty and not standing straight. Not only did they not bother to wipe the dust off the fan before letting us use it, the staff who brought the fan to our room was impolite and left the fan at the door expecting us to move the dusty fan into the room ourselves. This is not the service standard we expect from Mercure. They gave us 2 packs of local noodles as gifts to make up for the unpleasant experience when we complained about it during check out

This hotel is hands down one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. From the time that I checked innto the time that I checked out, and everything in between was a wonderful experience.  The location is across from that Tengwang Pavilion. Part of the complex is free. The paid entry  part is only 50 Yuans. 25 Yuans for 65 or older . I am not sure if it is free for 70 and over.  The room size , Room # 1816, is enormous with a breathtaking view of the temples below, a bridge in the distance and the synchronized light shows in the evening. The room has everything , including a small fridge stocked with soft drinks. Coffee and tea were provided and resupply daily. Room was clean daily and meticulously . Garbage were thrown out, towels replaced. Everything is automatic including the curtains and the toilets. The place is a haven for traveler where one can relax and enjoy the fine ambience. I  spent 2 nights there. The breakfast has many varieties and slightly different so you won’t be eating the same. There were western style and Chinese breakfast, noodles, bread,porridges, salad, fruit, cakes, etc. The coffee is freshly ground. It is buffet style and the breakfast hour on the weekend is from 6:30 am to 11:00 am. I got there at 6:30 am and everything was ready to eat. There are free laundry room with separate dryers that worked very well, plus ironing board and iron.  There are 2 big chairs in the room  to relax in . The washers and dryers  look spotless , new and clean Just across the hall is a gym. The service is out standing . The people who worked there were all genuinely wanted to do a good job and went out of their way to help. I don’t know them by name . I want to thank everyone there for making my stay such a joy.  All in all , this hotel deserves the highest score possible.  It is hard to find flaws because everything was just perfect.
