I arrived at this resort with 3 more friends of mine. We got two rooms to stay. Just after 30 minutes of our check - the electricity went away. This kept happening for 2 days of our stay at Destin Ekant. Additionally, the Air conditioner stopped cooling due to constant power cuts. Later we realized the AC was not cooling at all. We showed it to the manager and asked to fix the issue. He suggested that we shift the room to the room which was in an extremely secluded area. We saw the big spider crawling on the floor. However, we decided to spend that night in our rooms without AC, but everything went to our extreme toleration until around 3 am. The power got cut and till 4:30 am no one in the staff bothered to start the generator. We were sweaty and confused about where to find the staff since the intercoms were also dead. Concerning the food, although we include dinner and breakfast in our package - the option of the dishes was less in the buffet. The food on the menu card was highly overpriced and qty was also not satisfactory. The pool was also not cleaned regularly and was almost half empty. When we spoke to the manager about this the next day, the pool was properly filled with water. Addition to all the pain NO NETWORK & POOR WIFI !! Trust me, we had paid a good amount of per day room fare, and this kind of hospitality - pathetic!!! The poor Manager kept talking to Mr. Kireet over the call, but no one was efficient enough to provide a solution. My conclusion is that the property is small but beautiful. the management is very poor. Rooms are nice and spacious. Beautiful Garden with huge mango trees. But not a very nice view of the surroundings from the balcony. based on my and the group's experience we do not suggest anyone to visit the Destin Ekant - Jim Corbett, until they make some major improvements.
