Our place is walking distance to the beach and Nags Head Town Park . There are some hiking trails to the Albemarle sound. Dowdy Park is also close. We are located in walking/ biking distance to great local restaurants, ice cream shops, surf shops, coffee shops, grocery stores, antique stores, yoga studios, YMCA and much , much more. The walk to Barnes St beach Access is about a 10 - 15 min walk less on bikes .The spaceLost on Lost Colony has a great out door sitting area, relax with your coffee or tea in the morning. Coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and small refrigerator are available for your convenience. Great access to the beach or the park 10 minutes in either direction. We have bikes, umbrella, and beach chairs available for free (at your risk/responsibility) for your entire stay. We are close to SUP rentals and surf lessons. Art on the walls is done by all local artists, and is for sale upon request. You could park your car and walk or bike to most everything you need in Nags Head. We do live upstairs with the cats. We will either be at work or the beach most of the summer. We will be available to answer and questions you might have while staying in Nags Head.***Due to Covid-19, we like to let our guest know we are not industrial cleaners. Seahorse Cottage is a semi-oceanfront, classic beach cottage located in South Nags Head less than 30 yards over the dune line. Enjoy a 2-minute walk to the beach on a private access road THIS LISTING IS FOR THE DOWNSTAIRS GROUND FLOOR UNIT ONLY. 1 Bedroom and 1 bath with shower. This is a BASIC, older apartment - nothing fancy - on the ground floor (below sea level). It has baseboard heat and a window unit air conditioning and a basic kitchen - probably not suitable for cooking extensive meals but great for basic needs. A good place to unwind after a day at the beach, fishing, or other outdoor activities. It is listed with a max occupancy of 2 people, but families with up to 2 children can be accommodated on a case by case basis if providing own bedding and with advance permission. Permission MUST be given IN ADVANCE. This is a family beach house located in a quiet, wooded, residential, "west side" neighborhood adjacent to Nags Head Woods and the walking trails leading to the sound but is just .4 of a mile to a beach access with a lifeguard (in season) and a crosswalk with a light to cross the road.The backyard is fully fenced in with access from the back porch and even has a doggy door in the dining room for Fido to come and go as you allow. Please note * VRBO map location is approximate. We are on the west side of 158- not the east side as the map sometimes shows. (We cannot adjust the map. It is set up by VRBO.)The main level of the house has a living room, a dining room with seating for six, full kitchen, and a half bath. The master bedroom, also located on the main living level, features a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a double shower head and jetted whirlpool tub. The spacious covered back porch - accessed from the sliding glass doors off of the kitchen and dining room - features a large, comfortable outdoor seating group, a dining table with seating for six, and a gas grill. The upper level of the home has the remaining two bright, spacious bedrooms, both with queen beds, high-definition streaming televisions, and a shared full bathroom. The ground level has outside access leading directly to the outside shower and front yard, a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer, and a desk that is perfectly tucked away in a quiet corner for remote Zoom calls or work, should the need arise.Guest access - You can access the entire house except for the garage and the locked ground floor rooms, and the owner's closets. The fireplace is NOT functional or for guest use.The garage is not accessible to guests.Other things to noteThe minimum age to rent is 25. ABSOLUTELY no parties or overnight outside guests will be allowed. You will be asked to leave immediately and will not receive a refund of any kind.Adult dogs ONLY - 2 maximum - WITH PET FEE. Dogs must be house-trained, friendly (in case we need to access the house), up to date on flea meds and shots, and well-socialized. Dogs are not to be left alone unattended in the house uncrated for extended periods of time. You must let us know in advance if you plan to bring your dog. Be sure to pick up after your dog in all areas and keep your dog off the furniture. If you have a "shedding" type breed, clean-up also means hair within reason. Please note that this is a vacation rentals and not a hotel. (We mean that in the absolute nicest way!) You will need to roll trash carts out for trash pickup, do your dishes, etc., and basically leave the house reasonably as you found it.If you use the grill, please clean it before departure for the next guests. Our cleaners do not clean grills. The amenity is provided with the understanding that you may have to clean it before use and that you understand we ask that you clean it before departure. We apologize in advance if the guest before you was not so courteous. If you use the last of the propane in one of the tanks, please let us know or replace it.If you break something, please replace it or let us know ahead of time so that we can be proactive for the next guests.
