MGM Vailankanni

A good hotel Located a bit away from the church on the main road, ample space to move around in the property, compared to the other properties near the church, good place for the elite looking to make a pilgrimage of our lady. Room comfort / breakfast / dining etc are in line with star properties. Very helpful team managing right from check-in / housekeeping / restaurant/ checkout.

Very good service and room. Mist visit if going to Velankanni Rooms are very nice It has a restaurant and the food is lovely!

I was pleasantly impressed with this hotel. Room was compact and clean and definitely provided value for money. Room service menu was extensive, reasonable priced and was excellent. Staff were friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

MGM Velankanni is a great place to stay. This is a well maintained hotel that exceeded our expectations due to prior experience with other 3 star hotels around this area with clean rooms and bathrooms. Great service; Virundhu restaurant inside the hotel was awesome; the follow up after we left a watch was a sweet gesture! There is a separate driver’s room tor a lower cost if you are planning to take a driver. Hotel is not at a walkable distance to the church. So be prepared to take auto/drive to the church, approx 5 min.

I booked the deluxe room via booking .Comfortable and was very disappointed with the size of the room.The toilet smelled horrible like a public toilet, and the room was extremely small and unkempt. I requested to change to the suite .This room was slightly and had 1 king bed and 1 small bed.We paid about SGD 400 for this, but in Singapore, I could have easily booked a much posher room for this ridiculous rate! The toilets were still dirty, and the room toiletries were if low range.The rooms had a slightly unpleasant smell, and housekeeping had ridiculously low standard s The reception was not helpful at all.Every question or assistance was refused without a second thought! There was a trainee at the hotel who refused us a second key card and was extremely rude.Luckily, another staff member understood our issue and gave us an extra key card I asked for extra towels and toiletries, but it never came even though there were 3 of us, and we took a suite that could fit 5 to 6 pax I highly recommend tourist not to take this hotelas they take advantage of us and provide the worst customer service and horrible rooms If I could provide no star I would have done so!

I had a disappointing experience at MGM Vailankanni Residency. The rooms were not clean, and the toilets were extremely dirty upon check-in. Given the high price, I expected much better maintenance. The villa, in particular, felt like it hadn’t been used for months—dusty and neglected. While the management did clean the room after I complained, the overall upkeep remained poor. Definitely overrated and overpriced. On a positive note, the restaurant food and service were good, but even then, I felt the overall pricing was on the higher side. Unfortunately, based on the accommodation experience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
