Aegon Mykonos, Autograph Collection

Aegon may seem a bit out of the way but it was a lovely hotel to stay at. Many hotels rate and advertise themselves as "5 star" and although Aegon isn't "5 star", it could be. It is practically new, a short drive from a beach where you can find private beach clubs and about a 20min drive from Mykonos town (Fabrica end) depending on traffic. It is also just a 15min drive to the airport. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean (which is extremely important) and the rooms are very spacious with big balconies. The outdoor space is nice too (not massive), with a beautiful pool, which is a good size. It would be great if they could get bigger umbrellas that offer some protection from the sun, so guests don't fry! The climate has changed and it just isn't pleasant sitting in the sun anymore and the problem is that you can't really enjoy the pool as there isn't much shade at all. Hopefully the Marriott can invest some money on that...Otherwise, it's beautiful. We were out all the time and didn't try the food at the hotel except for breakfast, which was what you would expect, nicely displayed and everything seemed clean. The staff at this hotel were truly lovely and made us feel very welcome indeed. A big thank you to Adriana, Darwin and Kalliopi at the reception, Dimitris, Michaela and Giannis at the breakfast room/bar. And of course to Pavlos the Manager who is a lovely man and was very helpful to us. Unfortunately we didn't get any names from the housekeeping staff but the hotel and the rooms were clean so they are doing a great job. Unlike everywhere else we have stayed in Mykonos over the years, this is a hotel we would actually be happy to come back to.

We had an excellent stay at Aegon in the Wellness Suites. The property is brand new, beautifully and elegantly designed and extremely well run. The staff are very attentive and helpful, especially the management. We are Titanium Bonvoy members and had a hiccup with the reservation details and the hotel manager solved it personally and immediately. We were very impressed, We also had dinner at the sushi restaurant at the hotel which was also great, our sushi and steak were excellent. All in all an excellent Autograph property
