Hotel con parcheggio a My Tho

Abbiamo viaggiato oltre 25 ore di volo con un bambino a Mekong Delta. Prima abbiamo chiamato telefonicamente all'hotel e abbiamo fatto prenotare una stanza per diversi giorni. All'arrivo, la signora ha detto al ricevimento che purtroppo ci sono solo camere con un 30% premio e che il nostro bambino di 9 anni deve pagare ancora il 20% del prezzo della camera ... per cosa? ! Non ci sono letti extra, nessuna camera più grande, ma richiedere un supplemento al check-in! Pensava che non ci avesse mai offerto i prezzi più bassi. Dopo di che volevamo parlare con la direttrice generale dell'affermato 4 stelle hotel. Purtroppo, non era possibile come ci ha detto la signora ricevitrice. 10 minuti dopo un giovane uomo si è incontrato come manager e ha cercato di bellificare la situazione. In camera si è profumata di funghi e di scarico dal bagno. Il tetto era sporco, pieno e odorevole. Dalla frigorifera calda, le feci si sono incontrate. Il nostro bambino voleva entrare nella piscina, ma era triste e non curato. I mobili erano tutti ugualmente cattivi e pericolosi per la salute. Le immagini dicono più di mille parole! Non è assolutamente 4 stelle di impianti, il servizio di personale individuale sembra un mercato basso corrotto dove l'istruzione e la cortesia non hanno un ruolo importante. Peccato che non si sia ancora reso conto nella gestione degli hotel che gli ospiti di hotel si aspettano altro per i loro soldi. Evitare questo buco di merda e godersi la regione del Mekong delta del Vietnam.

We were looking for a place to stay two nights to chill out, in between flights, and no surprises, and when we spotted this on Google, it didn't take us long to want to stay here. Indeed, the choice was perfect. The welcome from Michel, the owner, was warm and personal. And, I was sure he knew what guests wanted in their stays. We even took on his suggestion to use the private boat service to ”arrive in style”, but as luck would have it, our flight was delayed and we wanted to arrive early, which, thanks to Michel, an early check-in was offered. The 12 rooms were set on beautiful grounds overlooking the Mekong. (The noise from the river traffic, mostly in the morning, was not unpleasant, and was even soothing. Our garden room, one of four, was close to the boundary wall, and if we left our bathroom door open, we could hear chatter (and morning cockerill calls) from neighbours, but in the two nights we stayed, we were not disturbed by party noise at all. We ate dinners inhouse, the food - both French and Vietnamese cuisine - was delightful. The breakfast, ala carte, was filling, nutritious and delicious. I liked the hu tiao and pho, as well as the spread of fruits and bread with fruit jam. We were 20 minutes from town, so we managed well using Grab (about VND130,000), and we even ventured out to Ben Tre to try the macapuno coconut - Ben Tre is one of only three places in the world to grow this wax coconut commercially. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to stay again. If there's one suggestion i could offer, it is this: some paths aren't even, especially the stepping pavers leading to our room (#10) aren't flush with the ground. If one is used to standards of safety in one's home country where the edges of steps are highlighted in bright paint, then one should be alert to the risk of stumbling, especially at night. Thanks to Michel and the team for providing this gem of a place and impeccable service!

I had the opportunity to stay at a hotel in My Tho city in June 2024, where the front desk staff were notably friendly and the breakfast was fairly comprehensive. My room, number 407, lacked windows and had a fairly hard bed, although the bathroom size was acceptable and there was a desk suitable for work. Despite these amenities, I find the hotel to be overpriced, charging 660k for the lowest rack rate. While the hotel features a rooftop bar, it is modestly equipped and the service there was disappointing. The staff at the rooftop bar lacked a basic understanding of customer service and hospitality, which greatly diminished my experience. Their insistence on closing promptly at 10 PM and rushing me to finish my drink was particularly frustrating. When I brought my concerns to the front desk, their only solution was to offer a 10% discount, which felt more dismissive than accommodating. This experience, along with other service issues, has left a sour taste in my mouth, not just for the hotel but for My Tho city as a whole. Unfortunately, I don’t foresee myself returning to either in the future.
