These little gems in the mountains are worth visiting …. We stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful property by Rokeby - Bothwell villa A two bedroom cottage with a drawing room n kitchen n dinning n butler service overlooking the mountains with simply gorgeous views ! Strongly recommend atleast 4 nights Bakehouse is a 2 min walk from the villa The main property is 7/10 min walk from the villa with a lovely restaurant … Would suggest good walking shoes n morning walks - cold crisp mountain air n gorgeous views of lower Himalayas Dine at their restaurant Emily Carry good music n book ! N switch off .. It’s a beautifully located property in Landour A must visit One tip - If in Landour .. stay put in Landour to enjoy the quietness n peace instead of running to Mussoorie n getting stuck in traffic As Hills are no more Hills ! Sadly ruined by haphazard construction loud music n congestion…. That’s why this property is - A little peace of heaven .. go before it’s late

Rokeby Manor, Landour Beautiful Views, but Disappointing Value. Overhyped and overpriced. We stayed at the Pine Tree Lodge, one of Rokeby Manor's villas. While the stunning views and warm service from the butler and in-house chef were definite highlights, the overall experience fell far short of expectations, particularly given the steep prices (about US$ 750 per night, accommodating four adults). Pros: The views from the villa are breathtaking, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff are warm, efficient, and attentive. The in-house butler, Arjun, and the chef, Vikram, were very kind. The beds were comfortable, and dining at Emily’s offered a cozy ambience with tasty food over breakfast. Having an in-house chef was a nice touch, considering how far we were from the main building, Rokeby Manor. You need to give him about a couple of hours notice of what you want to eat from the menu. Cons: Accessibility is a major issue. The villa is accessed via rickety stone steps, making it unsuitable for elderly or disabled guests. If we had known, we would not have brought elderly parents, it made it very difficult for them. The Pine Tree Lodge is located about 1km from the main Rokeby complex, which was not clearly noted on the website. Food had to be ordered from the main building, and it arrived cold (e.g., the high tea). The Himalayan high tea is nothing to write home about, please skip. The baked items are not up to standard. The bedrooms and bathrooms lack luxury—shower curtains instead of cabin, for example. And, a tin roof. Again, it would be fine for a regular Airbnb but not at the cost that Rokeby Manor charges for this villa. In winter, inadequate heating. AC blowers fail to make the space warm and cozy in winter; oil heaters would be more appropriate. The bonfire is chargeable, and the fireplace in the villa was non-functional. So, bring your own extra woolens to also wear indoors. Bottomline - the steep rates do not justify the experience; it’s certainly not value for money. We have stayed in many luxury hotels which are expensive but offer matching comfort and luxury. This Rokeby Manor villa does not match up to any international standards. While the property certainly has its charm, the logistical challenges, lack of clarity, and underwhelming amenities make it a disappointing experience.

It was my one of the best staycation All staff was helpful Meals were like once in a lifetime types Those hot water bags were amazing And mesmerizing view from my room was just awesome Mattress was so cozy At last evening chocolates were icing on the cake

Excellent stay, room waa beautiful, food was amazing all days and the menu limitless. Special thanks to the team Akshay Dhiman for all the special travel tips and making everything smooth sailing, Mr Rohit Sharma for all the interesting stories. Sajid, Tarun, all at the reception. Chef Bhisht amazing humour, Raju, Vikram, Poonam, Rohit, Pawan and all at Emilys and service staff Harishcharndra who helped us at every stage and making our stay so memorable and comfortable! We will visit again and share our experience with family abd friends.

Just out of a story book,Rokeby was an amazing retreat. We were welcome.ed with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Each room is different and every room has its own charm. Select as per individual taste. With plethora of books to read, a cosy library cum fireplace and comfortable sofas , one could actually fall asleep here and it felt so much like home. The food at Emily's was very nice and extensive menu selection. We loved their breakfast especially a section was from the famous Landour Bakehouse. The hotel does make reservation for you at the Bakehouse to avoid waiting there. The tea gardens were like a paradise, we sat there for hours watching the sunset over a cup of tea and their evening hand made chocolates given everyday!!! They assist on arranging day trips around so we visited Sainji corn village (only winters or else dry) Monastery , and kempty falls( avoid too commercial) However , Rokeby deserves a good minimum three days just to chill and feel the vibe of the place.

This was my third stay at the property, and each time I visit, I find myself wanting to extend my stay. The location is excellent, the property is charmingly rustic and well-kept, but the standout feature is the staff. This property epitomizes top-notch hospitality. From the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping, everyone is incredibly helpful and courteous. Once you visit, you'll definitely want to return.
