Our room was dirty. We had to ask for additionaly cleaning. The dishes were dirty too. Horrible. The food wasn't good. This hotel is for thousand people, it has ten floors, but only with four lifts. The pool is very small for so many people. Also a few sunbeds too. And none on the beach. The whole holiday was saved by the beautiful sea and our trips. I don't recommend.

I hope this can be seen by the Spanish tourist board about how my family and myself were treated at this hotel. The Spanish people appeared to be treated with a lot more curtesy and manners by the staff than us the people from Britain. I am a coach driver in London and I treat people as I find them treating all nationalities courteously. Any time you asked for something the answer was no straight away with no explanation. If the wrong staff is in that hotel then all you are going to get is bad reviews. The staff should be helpful, courteous and polite to everyone. My last day at the hotel we checked out of the hotel at 12 md. I went down to the bar at the pool area at 1pm to ask for a coffee for my sister and myself and the answer was “no” even though I offered to pay for them. I told the barman that he was not very obliging and quite rude, to which he replied “ see you next year” . I responded “you won’t see me next year”. He replied with “that’s good”. I went to reception and told the staff member there that the bar man was very rude and she replied “ I know”. This will not do your business or reputation any good.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. We stayed here with all of our friends and family (about 40 rooms in total) after this hotel was recommended to us. This was the nearest hotel to our wedding venue so location was ideal. We had visited the hotel in May to speak to the manager to run through everything and was reassured that they would be able to accommodate all our needs and meet our requirements. To begin with at check in, we were poorly greeted and handed our room keys to then have to swap between ourselves to accommodate the needs of the bridal party despite prior explanation of this. The staff on reception were not helpful and looked at us blankly with no assistance here. We were informed in May that the immediate family who were checking in on the first day (6 rooms) would receive a complimentary room upgrade all on the same floor - this did not happen and we were split between two floors. Secondly, on the morning of the wedding, me being the bride along with my bridesmaids were scheduled for hair and makeup 7:00am start. My sister went to reception and asked if we could bring some breakfast/ pastries up to the room in order for the bridal party to eat. We were met with a simple “no” to which we then asked for room service - again “no” with no alternative solution. This meant I had to go down to breakfast with the risk of seeing my husband to be and all family attending the wedding. I’m not sure how this hotel can be classed as four star yet has such poor customer service and does not offer room service. The room walls are extremely thin to the point you can hear someone sneeze, the food was of poor quality, leaving us to have to re-heat meals in the microwaves and the staff were ignorant and rude. The standard of customer service provided to British tourists vs Spanish tourists were worlds apart and the staff on numerous occasions turned their noses up at us and made asking questions extremely difficult. In May, we were promised that we would have an area reserved by the pool free of charge where we could have some decorations and drinks for the evening after the wedding with all of our family. However, on the day, we put minor decorations up - a small “just married” sign, some confetti, and balloons - the staff were filming the decorations and looked at us in disgust and informed us this was not allowed. I also asked for a knife to cut the remainder of our wedding cake to which I was told “no” as the cake was not from the hotel. After some back and forth, I was reluctantly provided with a knife. It seems as though there was no communication between the manager and the staff as to what promises were made. The manager Elia was informed that her staff were rude and she simply responded with “I know” with no apology or query as to why we thought so. Having worked in three 5-star hotels in London, I can confidently say we would never treat guests the way we were treated here. In London, we welcome everyone equally — Spanish, English, or any other nationality. Sadly, that was not the case at AluaSun Doblemar. From what I witnessed, the way the staff treated the wedding party staying here was nothing short of disgusting. Every request they made seemed to be met with a firm “no.” The staff were outright rude — no smiles, no warmth, no basic courtesy — which is shocking for a hotel in the hospitality industry, let alone one claiming to be 4 stars. Honestly, if this hotel operated in London, they wouldn’t last long treating guests like this. They could really do with a proper mystery guest visit — though I doubt they even know what that is. Before leaving to stay at the Poseidon (which is just a 10-minute walk away and far superior), I spoke to several members of the wedding party. All of them said the same thing: they were treated terribly, which is heartbreaking given they were there to celebrate a special occasion with over 80 guests. Whether it was discrimination, racism, or simply miserable staff, I can’t say — but not a single “good morning” or smile from anyone, not even the cleaners. It’s such a shame because the location and views are beautiful, but that’s truly the only positive thing I can say. The food was another disappointment — so bad that we found ourselves reheating our meals in the microwave every day, along with other guests doing the same. In summary: rude staff, poor food, no hospitality, and a complete lack of respect for guests. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere — like the Poseidon, where the staff actually care and treat you like a valued guest.

We all booked to go on this holiday as my son and his fiancée were getting married. They had come over in May and spoken to the manager who had been very helpful to their needs especially on the day of the wedding when there were 5 bridesmaids and a bride to get ready. 2 months before our trip we were advised that our hotel was shutting on 5 October and not the 12th as we had been told. We were booked ed until the 9th October. Lots of phone calls , emails and stress later we reached a compromise where we would stay in the hotel until the 5th and then move to a different hotel for the remainder of our stay. Our original booking was with love holidays but we were left to sort out our own booking arrangements from the 5th to 9th October. The staff in the hotel were very rude and unhelpful. Most requests were met by the answer “no”! On the day of the wedding the hair and make up girls came at 7am so we asked if we could take some pastries up to the room so that the bride and bridesmaids could have something to eat. We were told “no”. We then asked if we could have room service and were also told no! despite the fact we were “ all inclusive”. Most of the staff were rude and when my husband we to reception to tell them that the man serving at the bar was very rude, her reply was “I know”. There is no kettle in the rooms which is very unusual in this day and age. The good in the canteen was all lukewarm at best and everything had to be microwaved to make it edible. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I have never had such a bad experience in any hotel in my life. This hotel does not deserve 1 star . If you want a bad expert very rude staff this is the hotel for you

Travelled as a family for a wedding. Overall we had booked between 30-40 rooms as we had visited the hotel in May and had discussions with hotel Manager Elia who had promised that they could meet our requirements, therefore family and friends booked into this hotel. When we arrived at check-in Man on the desk seemed to be put out by our arrival and was not very helpful at all. Rooms were clean but very thin walled you could hear everything. Food was definitely very basic and not a lot of variety especially if you’re vegetarian or have food preferences. We had a problem with the rooms and a few other issues to do with the agreed arrangements and was asked to see manager at 10am. We attended at the given time to be told she was busy and to wait. She kept relaying messages via the reception staff and would not even come and discuss with us face to face, after an hour and a half waiting we gave up. On the morning of the wedding the bride and bridesmaids were tied up with having hair and make up so we requested for room service or if one of us could grab a few bits so they could eat and drink, we were point blankly told NO. The day after the wedding we asked if we could have a knife to cut the left over cake and was told NO also as the cake is not from the hotel. The one nice bar member did finally give us a knife but I believe she was told off. Shocking customer service. They just did not care. Bar staff other than one member, didn’t get her name, was all very rude, even telling one member of the group “thank god you won’t be returning”. Spanish holiday stayers were treated very differently to British and Irish. This is such a shame as hotel is located in a beautiful spot and for such a well known holiday group “HYATT” such poor customer service from staff at hotel where we all chose to celebrate a very special occasion is a very disappointing let down. We changed accommodation for the remainder of our stay (4 nights) to a hotel two minutes up the road and as soon as we arrived we was met by lovely polite staff who couldn’t be more helpful or welcoming. Not one of our party of 75+ would ever choose to return to Aluasun hotel again. If the staff are unhappy in their jobs and wish to pick and choose who they are pleasant to maybe they should be looking for different jobs as it was clear for all to see that they lack simple customer/social skills.

Was suggested to stay here after contacting hotel; it’s in middle of nowhere! I specifically asked if Spanish shops / restaurants were around and was advised it was great area!!! However, it is beyond quiet, nothing around & infact hotel shutting in 2weeks. I’ve never been anywhere so quiet. I got bitten by what I can only presume were bed bugs! See picture of bed which has no mattress protector!! You get no beach towels, so have to use your bathroom towels! Upon check in, Reception gave no advice on check in at all, no timing information of when food etc is served, no information sheet at all in rooms. I can’t believe this is a Hyatt brand as staff awful Nighttime reception guy was helpful after I asked questions, but information should be give upon check in and in rooms See picture below of my sea view room!!! Plus shampoo and shower gel all in one in shower, weird Beyond disappointed with area, as nothing around whatsoever, even in height of season only spar shops Market which you get a bus to, was beyond the worst I’ve ever been to Area is so so quiet Hotel was ok though, good outside space by pool. food not great… no vegan or hardly any vegetarian options!!! pool small, beach ok & unless you want to just sunbath you’ll be so bored! Bar staff talk in spainish about holidaymakers… I can understand all they said!!!

The hotel overall corresponds to its three-star category, but there are several aspects that could be improved to enhance the guest experience. The check-in process was quite slow, with longer queues than expected, and communication with the reception staff was sometimes challenging due to limited English skills. The room was clean, but it would have been nice to have a welcome bottle of water. While the view was towards the sea, the sound from nearby restaurant and kitchen generators made it difficult to keep the window open at night. The walls were rather thin, so some noise from neighboring rooms could be heard, and the doors closed quite loudly. The food was simple, with limited choice, and breakfast time often felt crowded with longer lines. I imagine this could become even more noticeable during the high season. In the relaxation area, there was occasionally an unpleasant smell, which impacted the atmosphere. The beach itself was fine, but there were not enough sunshades, and the surroundings felt somewhat plain. In summary, the hotel provides a basic stay in line with its star rating, but with some adjustments and improvements, it could offer guests a much more comfortable and pleasant experience.
