Bello hotel. La signora alla ricezione/bar era molto amichevole e lavorava molto duro. Il lobby è bello con alcuni sedie e divano confortevoli. Le camere sono semplici, ma pulite e davvero tranquille. La doccia aveva una decente pressione idrica. La colazione era deliziosa, una buona varietà di cibo.

This is at best an Ibis-equivalent hotel. The receptionist even called it a motel. The room is small and poorly equipped. There is no coffee-machine although there is a kettle. One of the cups still had the last person's coffee rim stain. There is no air-conditioning, no fans available and it is hot and airless. The window can be opened but only if you are prepared to leave the curtains open and be in full view of people visiting the Mcdonalds opposite. The road noise is not great either. The restaurant is closed, but I was offered a microwaved mini pizza! If you must stay in a Mercure in the area, go to the Mercure City Nord in Düsseldorf.

La Mercure Duisburg City è ben raggiunta con la macchina. Un garage urbano è sotto l'hotel (€ 12/Tag). L'hotel fa una buona impressione. La nostra camera era grande e ben arredata. Il bagno è molto bello e c'è anche una cassaforte alberghiera gratuita. Il buffet del colazione ha offerto una vasta scelta e non ha lasciato aperti i desideri, se si considera che non ci fossero piatti, che l'autocaffeina fosse regolarmente sbagliata e che il rumore fosse disponibile solo sporadicamente. Poiché la nostra camera doppia era dotata inizialmente di una sola persona (un tetto, una volta asciugamani) è stata migliorata dopo la reclamo alla ricezione. Il grano poi il secondo giorno: le camere e le letti non vengono più fatte a causa della carenza di personale a causa della corona in questa casa. La reclama alla ricezione non ha alcun senso. Due notti con colazione in camera doppia per € 186,- sono completamente superati nel caso in esame. Non mi fermero' più qui!

Nu voor t****e keer in dit hotel. Het aanzicht en ontvangst hal is van dit hotel niets bijzonders, bij hotel zijn enkele parkeerplaatsen tegen betaling, de kamers en badkamer zijn netjes en schoon, niet al te groot maar voor twee dagen is het prima, het ontbijt gaat erg achteruit, weinig keuze in brood, geen beschuitje of sneetje wit brood, het centrum is op 5 minuten loop afstand.

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Eine neue, gute Adresse. Die Gegebenheiten sind von solider, gehobener Qualität, der Stil des Hotels entspricht heutigem Standard. Bemerkenswert gut funktionieren die Lifts, bemerkenswert zugewandt ist die gesamte Rezeption. Die Preise sind fair, bei sorgfältiger Wahl auch günstig. Nicht ganz so günstig erscheint die Anordnung der Frühstücksräume. Ein großer Vorzug ist es dagegen, dass es im Haus einen Durchgang zu einem Fitness-Studio und einer Bar gibt, wo man auch spätabends und nachts noch Getränke findet, und obendrein auch den einen oder anderen Bissen. Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. Het hotel is top. Vriendelijk personeel. Mooie kamer. Badkamer is ook goed en mooi. Over het restaurant ben ik wat minder te spreken. Hamburger met friet en een salade. Hamburger was prima. Friet veel te zout. Niet te eten. Ze komen wel vragen of alles goed is maar ze doen er niks mee. Salade zat een onduidelijke rode saus op. Friet en salade moet je apart bestellen. Waarschijnlijk durft men niet op de kaart te zetten dat dit samen €27.50 kost.
