Baba Guesthouse

Very cozy and superclean place. Loved to stay there, all is really near and if you got a room with balcony the view in the evening is enjoyable. Perfect place to calm down, good but hard bed and AC. Bathroom very clean and in supergood condition. If we return our choice on Don Det.

선착장이 가깝다는 것 외에 좋은 점이 없네요 안내 직원은 없고 주인으로 보이는 남자 한 명 시설은 매우 오래 되었으며 비누와 휴지 타올 외에 제공되는 것이 아무 것도 없습니다. 물론 커피포트도 없습니다 테라스가 있긴 하지만 밤이면 불나방 천지라 나갈수 없습니다. 가격에 비해 너무합니다.

I had a truly great stay at BABA Guesthouse. The owner is very friendly and the check-in process went smoothly. I had asked for a room on the first floor and was assigned such room accordingly. From the balcony I enjoyed a beautiful view on the Mekong. The room itself has enough space, a well working (and pretty silent) air conditioning and a fridge to keep drinks cold. The bed offers a mosquito net which I really appreciated. For me personally the mattress was a bit too hard but this depends on individual preferences. The bathroom, as with apperently many of the better places on the island, is rather basic (e.g. one room with shower, sink, toilet – no dividers) but everything worked well. Despite its central location, the place is quiet and I slept well. I can hence fully recommend BABA Guesthouse and, having had a look at other places, I consider it as one of the best options on the island. Highly recommended!

This is one of those reviews I was not going to write as from a selfish view I would hate for it to be full the next time I want to visit, however Basil the owner of this brilliant hotel deserves every booking. So the hotel, it’s perfectly located seconds from the restaurants, it sits on the footpath that meanders across the island and is next to the river, we had amazing views of this from our balcony. The room was spacious and had everything we needed except a safe. The hotel is clean modern and very well maintained. If and when we return to the island we would definitely book here.

Todo un acierto! La oferta de alojamiento que hay en Don Det es poco atractiva según estuvimos viendo en los buscadores (malas reseñas, hostales sucios, hostales lejanos, hoteles caros...). La única opción que nos cuadró fue Baba's Guest House y la verdad es que fue genial. Un alojamiento funcional, limpio, en la zona con más servicios de la isla, habitación con mosquitera y aire acondicionado. Precio razonable y personal muy amable y atento. Repetiríamos sin duda si volvemos a las 4000 islas, que por cierto, es una zona preciosa y con unos paisajes increíbles, lo que más nos ha gustado de Laos.

C'est à 2 mn à pieds de l'embarcadère, donc très pratique, près des bars et restaurants mais pourtant calme. La chambre est spacieuse et la salle de douche est immense. C'est propre. Le lit est très dur, j'aime bien mais il vaut mieux être prévenu pour ceux qui n'aiment pas. Le propriétaire est français. C'est fleuri devant les chambres et il y a une belle vue sur le Mekong et un raintree. Il y a une belle terrasse mais c'est vraiment dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de petit déjeuner.
