Mt Warning Rainforest Park

My Warning rainforest park was a lively place to spend a weekend. It is a beautiful setting and the park staff are friendly and helpful and the park is well presented. It was a perfect position for us to enjoy the area and to cycle the Northern rivers rail trail.

This accommodation is falsely advertised. It has mould on the curtains, paper thin curtains that give you NO privacy and aren't wide enough to cover the windows, cupboards with broken hinges, cupboards too high to reach with spider webs, a wicker chair on the deck with a mouldy cushion, lounge on the deck with a split in the sofa. It's advertised with having a main bathroom and an ensuite, but it's the same bathroom with a door from each bedroom.

Rang about a week before to book in for 2 nights. Paid a deposit. Received email confirmation. Upon arrival, found that nobody was at reception and had to ring up someone. Very strange attitude. Didn't have a clue who I was or what I had booked. Sounded as though I was a hinderance by ringing him. Good campsite. Plenty of room. Next morning went to pay balance. Girl didn't have a clue about our booking. Had to tell her how much we owed. Went out for day, but not before a great big pile of grass/sticks/rubbish was set on fire in the powered site section. Depending on the wind, smoke was going everywhere. Then they decided to mow the grass all around the campground on a ride on. Went past our van so then we got the dust/dirt in our van. I know the grass has to be mowed sometime, but not where people are actually camped. Nice place, very green. Not much to do unless you drive. And watch out for the midgies and march flies as well.
