I wish I could leave zero stars. My issue with this hotel started Nov. 12 when I called the customer service line to cancel. The event I was supposed to come into town for has been cancelled so there was no need for me to have the hotel. The customer service representative I spoke to told me that the hotel would cancel the reservation and provide me with a full refund. Only after being told that did I agree to cancel my reservation. If I had known I wouldn't receive a refund, or that the refund was going to be partial, I would NOT have cancelled. Since then I have called over 6 times to try to get details on when my refund will be issued. I have been told several things by different representatives. Some have told me the refund is processing, others have said I won't be refunded at all, and others have said my refund will only be partial. Choice hotels and the Quality Inn and Suites have ignored my calls, refused to provide me with clear answers, and been generally unhelpful. As it stands on December 16, the last thing I was told was that I would receive a partial refund for everything except the first night. My reservation was for 3 nights - 5 rooms. Not being refunded for the first night for all these rooms means I'm losing nearly $400. Again, I would not have agreed to cancel if I had not been promised a full refund. In sum, this hotel has lied to me and essentially stolen my money with their inability to follow through on something THEY promised. If their company is unable to provide full refunds, they should have alerted me of that from the beginning. To anyone reading this, DO NOT book at this hotel. In the event of needing to cancel you will find yourself wasting HOURS trying to get your money back all while dealing with customer sales representatives who will lie to you and fail to communicate clearly.
