Our Bungalow on Baker Street has been a favorite destination since 2014. Private Bungalow on a 1/4-acre lot has been beautifully redecorated and fully modernized. Located in the heart of Mt. Dora on a picturesque and quiet street. It is just a 5-minute walk (0.4) to downtown and all shops. It is 2 bedrooms; one has a queen bed and the other is full size. Also, we have a full-size sleeper sofa. Small dogs are allowed with prior approval. No parties or events allowed. Located in the heart of the beautiful cozy town of Mt. Dora, you can just park the car and walk to all restaurants and shops. Could not be more well located than this! It is literally in the middle of downtown Mt. Dora. This cottage was built in 1948 and happens to be the only home located within the business district of downtown Mt. Dora. The (back unit) of the "Tiny House" offers everything you need to relax, enjoy the town and feel right at home. In the mornings, just walk a half block to Allyson Bakery, and get amazing coffee drinks. I must admit they have the best Oreo Cheesecake in the world! Don't feel like going out and about, just hang inside watching your favorite shows on Netflix and other channels. With so many restaurant options in downtown Mt. Dora, there will not be much time for cooking. But in case you decide to stay in, the kitchen comes fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. For your convenience we also have a washer and dryer in the unit. Enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset from your own private back balcony. The King size bed features memory foam mattress with Ritz Carlton type mattress topper. Warning!: It might be difficult to wake up in the mornings! : )We love animals and we are pet friendly! This house is located one block from Donnelly Street and 4th Ave.Parking for this unit is located on the driveway on the right hand side of the house. There is parking for only 1 car. Being right downtown is great since once you park, you can just walk everywhere. But keep in mind, this house is located in an area where street closures happen during major Events. Streets are blocked from 6 PM on Fridays to late Sundays during these events. Events that causes street closures are: Mount Dora Arts Festival & Craft Fair, Christmas Walk and Light up Mount Dora. You will not be able to access the house by car during these times. There’s a fire pit and picnic table outside in a secluded garden area. .Each room has a streaming HD TV - one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The bathroom has a sink that is separated from the walk-in shower that makes it convenient while getting ready for the day.The bedroom is bright and has a queen bed, a dresser for longer stays and a comfortable chair to relax or read. The rooms are very quiet with two large closets to hang up your clothes.We have a picnic table and fire pit with Adirondack chairs for your enjoyment! Welcome to my home! I purchased the property in 2020 from a friend when she decided to sell. I spent many years coming down for Thanksgiving, love spending time here and think others will as well!The home was built in 1927. When you walk into the house, you'll be greeted by the living room. There is seating for four people with two love seats across from each other. The room includes a Smart TV with a Blu-Ray DVD player. Feel free to log in to your favorite streaming service and enjoy your shows! Please note that I do not have any TV service. There is a fireplace but it does not work and cannot be used.Just off the living room is the Sun Room. I've set this room up with a small table and chairs for paying cards or board games. You will find these games in the cabinet when you walk in.The dining room is just off the other side of the living room with seating for 6 people. Between the dining room and the kitchen is a small desk for you to use if you need. I also have a wireless HP printer that you can use to print if needed.I've recently updated half of the kitchen with new cabinets, sink, countertop and added a dishwasher. There is a new gas stove and newer French door fridge. If you continue past the fridge, you will find the washer and dryer for your use as well. Just past that, you will find the back door leading out to the rear porch. I've screened in the rear porch and it has a small bistro table with two seats. PLEASE NOTE - the back porch no longer has a screen door on it. I am in the process of having that replaced so for time being it's not fully sealed off. It's a great place to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather Off of the rear porch is the backyard that is fenced in.Each bedroom will hold two people - the master bedroom has one double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. I've installed blackout curtains in both of the rooms ensuring a great night’s sleep! Each bedroom has a TV and Blu Ray player that connects to the internet for streaming using your favorite streaming service. Please note I do not have any tv service in the house. The house has central heating and A/C with ceiling fans in most all the rooms.At the end of the bedroom hallway is the bathroom. It includes a sink, toilet and a claw foot tub with a shower. Please use the step stool and/or cane to get in and out of the tub.One thing you will notice is that I am into commercial airlines. On most of the walls you will find retro airline ads as well as various airplane models. I have been collecting these items since I was just a child and follow the industry very closely.Historic Mt Dora is a wonderful place to walk through the streets, see the quaint shops and have an amazing meal! It's about a 15 to 20 mins walk from the house and is basically straight down the road. Downtown is located next to the lake and has a great parks and trails that you can enjoy during the day.Don't want to walk that far? Right around the corner from the house are a few restaurants as well. Jeremiah's is a personal favorite, and the fried chicken dinner is awesome! 7 mins by car will bring you over to Vincent's Italian, get the Tour of Italy, it's amazing! 5 mins by car is large Publix Grocery Store with a Liquor Store attached. 15 mins by car will get you to a Walmart and Target.I do allow pets but please note that while the backyard is fenced in, most dogs and cats can easily get under or over the fence. I just ask that you also pick up after your pet. Any damages to the furniture will be charged to have it repaired or replaced.I also allow smoking on the back porch and the backyard. Please close the back door first.
