Although it was only one night - it felt way longer! Fantastic house with views over Mossel Bay and an even better host who provided lots of recommendations! Very good place to chill and relax, while enjoying a sunset over Mossel Bay. Thanks Herman - till next time!

We had an excellent overnight stay at this property as we travelled with numerous stops en route from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. Our welcome was warm and informative, the en suite room was large and comfortable and the bed gave us a really good night sleep. We only wish we had booked to stay for more than one night. Next time! The private balcony for the Deluxe sea view room was very narrow but the communal patio below us, also overlooking the bay, was available had we wished to use it.

Our stay at Herman's hotel in Mossel Bay was wonderful, highlighted by breathtaking views and a warm, friendly atmosphere created by Herman and his staff. The delicious breakfast was a perfect start to our day. The only downside was that we could only stay one night; we wish we had planned for a longer visit!

Herman is a lovely man who helps you with every question. Very friendly! It was very proper and the view is amazing. I will definitely go back and recommend this place.

From the moment I contacted Herman Esterhuizen from the Lookout Guest House, I was impressed by the friendly and professional service provided. Upon our arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Elzaane Esterhuizen, who was able to recommend several restaurants and places of interest. We were extremely impressed with the facilities which includes modern décor, spacious rooms, guest lounge with TV and honesty bar, billiard room, secure parking, and breathtaking views. Our master suite was large with fantastic views, and a huge en-suite bathroom with both a jacuzzi and massive walk-in shower. Our one-night stay at the Lookout Guest House was without doubt the highlight of our trip down the Garden Route. Our only regret was that we did not spend a few more days at the Lookout Guest House. We will certainly be back!

The welcome and introductory tour of The Lookout was first class and supported by the fantastic balcony vista - better than an infinity pool with near full 360 of Mossel Bay. Local cuisine recommendations were excellent along with the honesty bar wine selection. Great venue.

The Lookout Guest House is exceptional. Everything from the welcome, to the room, the breakfast and the help from Herman and his team was absolutely first class. I can see why there are so many excellent reviews. We stayed for four nights and it was the perfect spot to stay in Mossel Bay. The views over the bay were amazing and we were local to all the restaurants and activities nearby. Herman was great offering up a huge amount of potential activities and restaurants and went as far as booking meals for us once we decided where we wanted to go. We would recommend The Lookout without any hesitation and would love to go back in the future.

Nice guesthouse with an excellent hospitality by a friendly staff. From the balcony you have a stunning view on Mossel Bay. Herman and his staff will make you really feel at home. In the morning they also serve a delicious breakfast.
