Garden Route Safari Camp

Such a friendly, welcoming place (family-run), with really knowledgable staff for the game drives. We saw so many lovely animals and also plants and learnt some fascinating things during our stay. It was a special birthday for my husband and was the perfect place to be!

We were able to spend 2 nights in this wonderful camp. Everything was just perfect. The camp is small but nice and every detail is taken care of. You don't (yet) find all the Big 5, but there are many, many other animals that you can see up close. Our guide Marc was fantastic and gave us 2 unforgettable game drives. Animal welfare is also very important and you can see that the animals are doing well. The owners and staff all put their heart and soul into their work. I can highly recommend the camp!

Wow wow wow, a home from home What amazing time , a must for anyone wanting a safari experience with such personal touch , from the moment we landed from a internal flight to George and being collected by Abram Rooms , massive , comfortable and very clean , even though we didn’t spend much time in there breakfast , lunch and dinner ,very high standard and amazing value Morning and evening safari couldn’t fault , big shout to Eon and Shiv , thank you so much for sharing your passion and knowledge. So much I learnt and can recognise giraffe poo and loads of different plants from 100 yards . Oh lots of animals, lions, Hippos, zebras,Rhinos,wildebeest, I couldn’t fault our 3 days and will be back with the rest of the family in the future . Dear Safari Camp Team, Our stay as a family of 6 in your loft was a pleasure. Everything was as expected and a bit more. Great accomodation, great service, great food and great safari (esp. the hidden animals). Very kind and thankful personnel around us every time. Smooth atmosphere at any time, quite professional, so we had a great time. Also many thanks to our guide CV.

It is a conservancy with a limited variety of wild life. That said the staff were wonderful and we found it very easy to communicate via whatsapp before arriving. they even sent us a pin drop to locate them.The camp is as good as any much more esxpensive safari camp I have stayed at. A lovely place to stay.

We stayed for one night at this property as a group of 7, with a sunrise safari. The staff are all incredibly kind, helpful and accommodating. The staff helped me to select the best room for our group ahead of time via WhatsApp and from then on were very accommodating right up until we checked out. Our mini-safari experience was great and our guide was super knowledgeable. The vehicle we were in looked to be very new. The location of the camp has been re-wilded from farmland and the staff explained the plan to us which we found very interesting. This was the perfect stop off for us whilst travelling the garden route. We also found the facilities to be top notch and the price to be very reasonable. I highly recommend this to anyone also travelling the garden route and looking for a mini-safari type experience. I think that a longer stay of 2/3 days would be enjoyable but I am not sure anything longer would be needed to see the entire reserve.
