Hôtel La Bergerie

Staying at Hotel La Bergerie was a delight. As a solo traveler I couldn’t have felt more at home. From the moment I walked In the door I felt at ease, where the owners, staff and fellow guests were all so very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It’s so central to Morzine’s bars and restaurants yet feels like a retreat and the garden and pool so beautiful. Could not recommend enough!

Excellent hotel with caring hosts who add so many little touches to the hotel to make a special stay. Food quality is outstanding. Pool and garden is beautiful. We had a lovely time relaxing after walks in the mountains. The kids loved the pool, garden, trampoline and games room. I loved that I could relax with a delicious glass of wine in the sun! Dinner was absolutely delicious the night we ate at the hotel. The kitchenette was really helpful for snacks and a couple of breakfasts with gorgeous views over the gardens and mountains. Eric and Caroline are a delight and work very hard to give a good experience. We would love to return.

We had the most wonderful family break in this most hospitable and homely hotel. The hotel is in a fantastic central location. You can get to pretty much everywhere on foot in Morzine from the hotel. The facilities are fantastic, we spent every day in the pool. The room was lovely with the most fantastic view towards Avoriaz. The food both at breakfast and dinner was home prepared and probably the best meal we had on our trip. The staff make every effort to make you feel welcome in their home. La Bergerie totally surpassed my expectations. Well recommended!

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel La Bergerie! This was our second time at this wonderful family-run hotel. Our hosts, Eric and Caroline and all the staff at Hotel La Bergerie (particularly Delphine at the reception) were always warm and welcoming. Our room was cosy, well equipped with a kitchenette and had an amazing view of the alps. We loved the sauna and pool, which was such a balm to our aching joints. Housecleaning was super efficient and our room was always pristinely clean and ready by the time we got back from the slopes. Jeep, the basset hound and the resident cat would always come up for a scratch and won a special place in our hearts. Location-wise, Hotel La Bergerie was very convenient- a short walk to the restaurants, shops and Super Morzine and a short bus ride to Prodains Express which drops you directly into Avoriaz. We are looking forward to returning to Portes du Soleil and Hotel La Bergerie next year!

We had the most wonderful time at La Bergerie on a trip with kids and grandmother! Eric and Caroline (and Delphine) welcome you and make you feel at home immediately. They are so warm and epitomize natural hospitality. The hotel itself is full of thoughtful touches, and is kid-friendly without sacrificing adult comfort. Our kids bounced from the pool to trampoline and back, with their reserves of energy somehow still intact after the glorious stunning hikes we went on while in Morzine. We enjoyed the breakfast and they organized a delightful dinner for us at the hotel - again complete with thoughtful and adorable touches for the kids. My kids loved counting all the hearts in our room and in the hotel (second only to the sheep motif) - clearly this hotel is a labor of love and you can feel that as a guest. If you are anything like us, will be planning your next visit back before you leave. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!
