Hotel Morgan

This is a beautiful hotel whis is centrally located and close to the WVU campus. Very comfy beds and premium toiletries. Fast wifi and no connectionissues. No coffee pot in room, but coffee and tea service in lobby. Tasty food and drinks. I would recommend this property.

Dried urine on the toilet bowl when we first got there. It had obviously not even been wiped down or cleaned which was really unacceptable and gross....,.,.................,,.....................................................

We came into town for the UCF vs WVU game. Maya was the best front desk agent and helped us with everything we needed from going out to restaurant recommendations. Anything we needed she was there for us. She was the bright spot in the great stay.

Old-school charm blended with museums and good restaurants within walking distance. Service was competent and professional if not particularly personable. Free dinner and breakfast were much appreciated. All in all, a comfortable experience.

I returned to Morgantown for my 50 year medical school alumni meeting. The event was staged at the Hotel Morgan which had undergone a significant renovation in the recent past. Pros: - great valet service for parking -nice ballroom for the event however the acoustics were terrible -nice lounge Cons: - Very basic room which had the barren appearance of a dorm room - Malfuntioning AC/Heating unit - call three times between 5 PM and 10 PM with no response -Very low water pressure for the shower - Located downtown where there is nothing to see or shop unless you are a university student -Food for the meeting was average and not hot This is not typical for a Wyndham Hotel. For the price point there are other options in Morgantown.

The historic hotel is beautiful and they’ve done a nice job creating a comfortable and stylish space for travelers. The hotel is quite convenient to the WVU campus, and valet parking is easy and efficient to retrieve car for day trips around the area. It was reasonably priced. The only thing I wish them to improve would be the very noisy window air conditioning units. The one in our room was so loud I’m afraid neither of us slept our best, which is a shame because the bed and the room were very nice. The room is spacious and if you have the air conditioning on and want to watch the tv clear at the other end of the room, you have to turn the tv up so high to hear it. And then it’s just too much noise and not relaxing. Another thing that would have been nice is a coffee maker/tea in the room. We’ve come to expect that on our travels and it’s kind of strange to find a hotel doesn’t offer that.
