Hotel El Cid

I booked a twin room here back in November 2021 for my brother and I to go to the Aragón MotoGP at Motorland. Why? It was the nearest available hotel for the GP weekend that wasn't ridiculously priced. On arrival we found the parking opposite against the wall to be pretty full, but there is a motorcycle parking space for two bikes that we squeezed into. Checking in was easy and we were on the third floor. I had said through booking com that we would want breakfast only on Saturday. Sunday would be too late to ride 45 miles to Motorland. This didn't get communicated .. no problems. We ate the menu of the day Friday. It was very good at €19. Good choice. The rooms are okay for a short stay. Our room was at the front with views over the city wall to the hills opposite. A small balcony was very nice also. Breakfast was good. We hadn't seen the menu and dishes arrived and we appeared to eat them as they came. We later saw at reception there is a QR code for both dinner and breakfast menus. WiFi was free. I would question languages spoken as English wasn't one of them. 😉 Would I stay again? Most definitely. Morella is a superb walked city. The walls and towers are all perfectly kept and look more "real" than at Avila....

Hotel El Cid was easy to find, just inside the wall gate and check in was quick and welcoming. There is apparently lots of free parking on the streets of the village, but you should note that there are only a few spaces in front of the hotel. If you want to find street parking you have to turn left immediately before the hotel, and that street is where you should look for space. As things looked a bit busy on the parking front, when the receptionist offered us a space in the hotel garage for 10Euros we jumped at it, and I have to say that as far as entry space and the actual parking bays are concerned, it’s probably the best hotel garage I’ve ever used. The hotel is probably what you would rate as 2 star, which is reflected in the fact that instead of air conditioning there is a ceiling fan. Whether this becomes a problem later on, only time will tell! Our room on the 4th floor is spacious enough and very nicely furnished and decorated. It has a modern en-suite bathroom And it also has a balcony overlooking the valley below, with a couple of chairs to sit on. Our bed was very comfortable and, with some cool air coming in the partially opened window and the fan on, the lack of air conditioning wasn’t an issue and we slept very well. Breakfast was very nice and was brought to you. It consisted of orange juice, yogurt, melon, pane con tomate, cheeses, ham and, of course cakes (which is still a strange concept for me!). It was all very nice and was taken in a nice dining room overlooking the village walls.What a lovely way to start the day. Morella is a lovely village and Hotel el Cid is a perfect place to stay. Service has been warm and friendly and we would certainly stay here again.

El conjunto de valoraciones positivas sobre este hotel hace que me sea imposible valorar alguna mejor que otra. Su ubicación es excelente, las vistas de la habitación a la montaña viendo el amanecer… las camas muy cómodas, la almohada y colchón como nuevos, la limpieza muy buena y el personal muy amable y atento. He quedado muy contenta con este alojamiento y repetiré sin dudarlo.

Een ontzettend schone kamer en heel vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt staat niet klaar, maar tegen een heel lage prijs kan je het zelf aangeven. Voor het parkeren moet je eerst aanmelden en krijg je de code van de zeer nabijgelegen garage en nummer van het ruime parkeervak. Dit hotel is zeker een aanrader.

Teníamos reservada una habitación por dos noches con aparcamiento (son 10€ por día el parking) ya que habíamos leído que por la zona era complicado encontrar sitio. Llegamos un miércoles y justo delante del hotel encontramos un parking gratis ¡¡menuda suerte!!. En la recepción no hubo problema de cancelar la reserva del parking y la chica nos informó y asesoró muy bien nuestra visita a Morella. La habitación que nos tocó era bastante amplia, segunda planta con ascensor y con unas vistas a la muralla fantásticas y un baño enorme. Todo muy limpio y recogido. Disponen de una cafetería y un comedor en las mismas instalaciones. El día que abandonamos el hotel y ya de camino a Teruel nos llamaron y nos informaron de que nos habíamos dejado un pantalón y una camisa en la habitación. No podíamos volver atrás (estábamos a mas de dos horas de Morella). Llamamos a una empresa de transporte urgente para que fueran por el hotel a recoger la ropa olvidada, y ellos sin problema nos hicieron el favor de empaquetarla y entregarla al mensajero. No sólo mi estancia fue cómoda y placentera, si no que después de haberme ido del hotel siguieron tratándome magníficamente. Recomendaría El Cid sin dudarlo, por precio, ubicación, limpieza y sobre todo por el servicio.

Estancia perfecta en todos los aspectos.. Muy amable el personal que nos atendió tanto en recepción como en bar y restaurante..La habitación reservada con vistas era super silenciosa y la cama muy cómoda... Reservamos una doble y nos dieron una triple muy amplia..Muy buena relación calidad- precio y la ubicación con vistas perfecta
