A great stay after a fabulous wedding held at the hotel and I would recommend Sweeney Hall to anyone

Fabulous and we are hard to please great food lovely staff great owners highly recommend and price is great for such great place they go beyond customer service having provided lovely meal for my husband who was late back from work will definitely be using from now on

Went for afternoon tea with a group of ladies, really tasty food, excellent value for money in lovely surroundings. There was a selection of sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, multiple cakes plus quiche and wedges a lovely surprise and they were tasty. Lots of tea and coffee and the service was excellent too, can’t fault it for the price, at £20 a head it’s one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had. Will definitely be back for more.

Staff were very helpful, welcoming and kind. Beautiful location and rooms in keeping with the age and grandeur of the delightful property. Gardens extremely well maintained and bar and dining area delightful. Breakfast was delicious! Thank you for making our stay so very pleasant.... we will definitely be returning!

Everything was amazing ! I can't fault anything at all! The staff, the food the room, location is just perfect. If I could stay forever I would. Came ad a family of four me, 7 year old and parents and we all loved every minute. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Fantastic stay for 2 nights for our 10th wedding anniversary. Very comfortable room (room 4) with a nice new bathroom. Afternoon tea was very good, we liked the addition of wedges. Almost too much food and all home made I believe. The vegetarian roast was one of the best I've had and dinner the second night was just as good. Breakfast also very good and lots of choice. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend and suprised it doesn't have higher than a 3* rating - deserves more. Will look to book a similar deal in the future for friends and family.

We had a delicious dinner at the Sweeney last Saturday. The setting is so beautiful and the gardens are great for a pre dinner drink. The menu is really adventurous with Asian influences, all the classics and local seasonal ingredients. All the staff are friendly and efficient. The pork cheeks are particularly good and so is the pollock with kimchi.

A fantastic place to stay at this historic building. The rooms were clean and tidy and the meals were great. The hosts were very hospitable and helpful. The only observation I would make and it is not a complaint, that the building has no lift so it not favourable to and disabled people. But that has to be due to the age of the building, but overall a lovely weekend
