Really enjoyed our stay at Bushveld Terrace. It's a lovely boutique hotel. Super comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with a fantastic restaurant - literally one of the best we ate at this entire trip. There's load shedding all across SA these days, but there was seamless use of the backup generator so we were never short of power, light or internet etc. The waiting staff at the restaurant are absolutely lovely and the menu is fantastic. The chef is a really kind young lad who obviously cares greatly about his work (the steak with snails and garlic butter was terrific). As for location, the hotel's literally 200m from Phalaborwa gate into Kruger. The roads between Phalaborwa and Letaba and Mopane aren't the greatest for game viewing in wet season due to the thickness of the bush and trees. But for access to one of Africa's great public parks, you couldn't get better. Would return gladly.

We arrived after an 5 hours drive from Johannesburg and stayed for 4 nights at the lodge. We visited twice the Kruger park which I can highly recommend to do as early as possible especially during summer time in Africa. And we had a private game drive close to the lodge. Both ca be organised at the lodge or you choose someone else and they pick you up. To the Kruger park it’s a 45-60 min ride per car. The lodge itself is great! The room was superb and big with all amenities you need and the provide always free bottle of drinking water. Breakfast and dinner was also good and I would recommend the dinner there. Fabian and his stuff are great and always helpful. We had a nice stay there and I would absolutely recommend it in case you are in this area or like to spend a night or more close to the Kruger park. Not to forget; the lodge is an private resort/ compound and therefor super safe. You will find other shops or restaurants outside at the main road.

Ho avuto un ottimo soggiorno al Safari Moon Luxury Bush Lodge a Hoedspruit! Quando sono entrato, sapevo che avremmo fatto la chiamata giusta.Il benvenuto caldo del personale e l'atmosfera invitante mi hanno immediatamente fatto sentire a casa. Durante il mio soggiorno ho avuto due camere diverse - la camera Leopard e poi la suite della Luna completa (la loro suite presidenziale). Sono entrambi fantastici! La Suite della Luna completa è stata assolutamente stupenda e ha mostrato davvero quanto l'albero di lusso può essere. Il cibo era un'eccellenza. Chef Control e Chef Sizewe stanno facendo qualcosa di speciale in quella cucina. Quell'offerta gourmet che Chef Sizewe ha fatto quando sono arrivato? Ha impostato il tono per tutti i deliziosi pasti che seguono. Dovevo fare un urlo speciale al nostro cameriere Rowan, che era il maestro di tutto, sempre lì quando avevamo bisogno di qualcosa e facevamo tutto correre in modo regolare. Melinda, la prima capo di casa, era fantastica anche. Ci ha dato grandi raccomandazioni per fare le cose e per controllare la zona. L'alloggio stesso è bellissimo e molto ben tenuto. Tutto si sente bene - è lussuoso ma ha ancora quel vero senso di bush. Si può dire che pensano di assicurarsi che gli ospiti siano confortevoli, pur tenendo conto dell'ambiente naturale. Se si va a Hoedspruit e si vuole una memorabile esperienza di bush, questo posto vale la pena di andare. Il personale, il cibo, le camere - tutto è appena arrivato insieme per rendere il nostro soggiorno speciale. - Assicurati di provare sia il controllo del capo che la cucina del capo Sizewe - La Suite Luna completa vale la pena di essere spurgata se vuoi qualcosa di speciale - Chiedi a Melinda delle raccomandazioni - lei sa tutto - Prendi un po' di tempo per rifrire e goderti la loggia se stessa È stato davvero un bel tempo qui - sicuramente superato quello che mi aspettavo! Il personale era incredibilmente accogliente e utile per tutta la mia permanenza. Le camere erano immacolate e molto comode. Inoltre, mi piaceva il delizioso colazione ogni mattina e mi piaceva la comoda posizione vicino alle principali attrazioni. Torno a esplorare le molte attrazioni che si trovano nelle vicinanze della zona. Oh, e il tempo è sempre molto :).

Everything went well my stay was comfortable enough. The food was excellent. Relaxation was the order of the day. Just on my check out day water just went cold on us but due the fact that I was in hurry, I highlighted it at reception when checking out

If we could give 6 stars for our 3 day stay at Naledi we would! My wife and I visited Naledi for 3 days in January 2025. We were incredibly well taken care of by Marise, Matthew, Lilian, Decide and Chef Dudu throughout our stay. The food was delicious, our room in the Paperbark suite and the entire property is meticulously maintained, and they made incredible efforts to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. They succeeded! The game drives with Oupa and Excellent exceeded every expectation. They are true experts at guiding and tracking the majestic animals in the Balule reserve, and just incredibly lovely gentlemen to spend time with. We saw so much - yes, the Big 5, but also warthogs and hyenas and giraffes and hippos and zebras and impala herds and beautiful birds; sunset and sunrise and a rainbow one morning took our breath away. On our final sundowners, Oupa and Excellent took us by the Olifant River where we enjoyed the sunset and drinks surrounded by hippos and a grazing rhino. Each day felt like a treasure hunt - we gave very little input, allowing Oupa and Excellent to do their thing, and loved every minute. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip for my wife and I, as we were visiting South Africa from the US for a friend's wedding. I went back and forth between the more well-known reserves (Sabi Sands, Timbavati) and was unsure what we'd be able to see in the summer season (our visit was in late January) - I'm so glad we chose Naledi and if there's ever an opportunity to visit South Africa again, we will be back!
