Hotel in zona Spirou THEBAUD - Lady in blue, Moorea

So we were staying on Tahiti but planned a day trip by ferry/car to Morrea. After sunset we planned to return to the port to take the ferry back to Tahiti. We got back to the port but no ferry! There happened to be a girl there so I asked if it's late. She said no ferry till the next day!! (I had booked the wrong day) She was on the fone with someone in French and finally said...come over here! So Timmy showed up and he happened to be the supervisor at the Manava. After speaking with his friend at the front desk, even though the resort was sold out, Timmy was able to offer us a very special, low rate that even included breakfast. Still stunned we drove to the resort and saw his friend (sorry his name starts with L) checked us in and helped us with other questions we had AND then take us to our room to show us around. We were treated to a garden bungalow (pictured) with private pool and garden. The room itself was enormous with all amenities and comfort. After we settled we went to the bar to relax and have some bar food. When we were there the live entertainment was just leaving but the scene was still very active. The next morning after breakfast, we headed to the infinity pool which was fantastic. The views were amazing in all directions. The view to the sea includes the overwafer bungalows and the opposite view was the hotel and the dramatic mountains rising in the background. We've been to a lot of resorts and can tell sincerity of the staff and at the Manava everyone smiled and offered Tahitian hospitality at every corner. We were able to spend some time after checkout at the pool until, sadly, it was time to leave for our ferry (we booked accurately this time). I'm in the travel business myself and have been telling everyone when in Morrea, the Manava is the place to be. A warm maururu to Timmy and his staff for saving us and making us feel welcomed.

L'hotel è davvero vecchio, probabilmente negli anni novanta; soprattutto nel bagno, il pulsante è rotto. Non c'è molto spazio in hotel e non c'è molto da giocare.Quando vado a causa del vento, non c'è nessun progetto sulla riva.Ho fatto un giro intorno all'isola, e molti luoghi sono chiusi a causa del vento. Soprattutto, è comprensibile che chiudere all'aperto sia il perche'il museo è chiuso. La colazione e la cena dell'hotel sono molto generali Se vuoi rimanere sull'isola principale, è meno costoso di Hilton.

On our way to Moorea, we stopped over at the Hilton Tahiti for a couple of days. But those couple of days ended up being a lovely mini-vacation in itself. This property is exquisite because of its location and because it is very well managed. Usually we prefer an upper floor location, but upon checking-in, the very friendly front desk agent, Here, responded to our request for a ”quiet” room with a lovely ground-floor location with a large patio overlooking the flowering gardens and the ocean. Exquisite! The room was very clean, very comfortable and very quiet. (Veryx3!) It was also well designed and thoughtful in its detailing. Breakfast was served in the main restaurant and as Diamond members, we had a reserved window table each morning overlooking the water and the colorful inhabitants. What a thoughtful and simple touch that goes a long way in recognizing Hilton loyalty, and we noticed more of those simple yet graceful touches demonstrated by the staff during our stay. It seems that this property, like most hotels on the island of Tahiti, is used as a launching pad for guests to travel to the other islands and also as a stop on their way home while waiting for a red-eye flight out of PPT. Because of that, there are always a number of people and groups coming and going at all times. And this hotel handles it beautifully. While some properties might show their strain under such pressure, the Hilton actually shines brighter by being able to treat each guest with the wonderful hospitality and friendliness that graces all of French Polynesia. Il nostro soggiorno era in ordine. I problemi più grandi erano il bar e il ristorante. Il bar a fianco della piscina non tornarono mai a chiedere riempimenti. Era stato difficile ottenere l'attenzione degli offerenti del bar. Quando ci chiesero di riempire dopo 20 minuti, ci diedero le fatture di firmare prima di servirci delle bevande, e quando ci chiederono di firmare la fattura, dimmo che non ci daremmo se non ci davano le bevande che avevamo ordinato, e questo si protrae per tre riempimenti. Finalmente ci siamo mangiati e siamo andati al ristorante. Non abbiamo una prenotazione (solo due persone) e hanno semplicemente detto ”nessun seggio senza prenotazione”. Il desk front non l'ha mai suggerito né il personale del ristorante che controllasse le aperture a un altro orario. Questa era la nostra ultima notte di vacanza, e ci aspettavamo un bel pranzo finale e delle bevande, ma invece dovevamo andare con un gusto amargo nella bocca. Molto deluso.

Se vuoi un posto dove lo stai solo usando per ricarrare (sleep/nap) e tornare a esplorare, questo è perfetto. È in una buona posizione e proprio lungo la strada dalla ferry se stai cercando di visitare altre isole. Ho prenotato una camera singola, senza finestre, con un letto di dimensioni reale. Non ho mai soggiornato in un posto come questo, ero scettico al compartimento delle camere da letto, ma il personale sta pulendo costantemente questo spazio. Non ho mai visto una camera da letto in cattiva forma. Il centro di Wi-Fi è situato nel 7o piano e il bar Reeftop nel 8o piano. Mi preoccupava di viaggiare qui solo con la barriera linguistica, ma erano certamente alcuni dei più amici che ho incontrato durante la mia visita.

Grande stanza, ma non utilizzato in modo efficiente. Il bagno non era adeguatamente protetto. E la doccia era all'interno del bagno. Il bidet del bagno deve essere spenta, altrimenti si svuoterà. La posizione era proprio davanti al terminale della navetta.
