Super 8 by Wyndham Monticello

It is a cheap hotel that is good for a night if you are traveling and just need a bed. The room was very dirty - stains on the sheets and the towels were very dirty (I don't think they had been washed since they were last used).

Clean bathroom. I got the recommended room which has a jacuzzi. It was new to me so it was a little tricky but worth it. Staff made sure I understood how to use it and even came to the room and provided in person instruction. The beds were clean and very well made. I’ve only been to one one other super 8 and this was bar far one of the best. Fresh coffee and breakfast in the morning made getting up early easy. I’ll be back cause for this price it’s amazing.

Never again…knew this was not the Hilton by any stretch of the imagination but this hotel was disgusting and unhealthy! When we arrived at check in there was one housekeeper running her tail off between rooms stocking towels while sicker than a dog, they were coughing all over the towels…felt bad for her but ugh….Bed sheets, if even washed were stained, thread bare and had multiple cigarette burns. Carpets were stained and the floor boards felt very spongy, bathroom was just gross. We almost got back in the car to drive home but was too tired to drive after a long day. Stripped the bed down to the bottom sheet and covered up with clothing, even dried our hands on a piece of clothing after washing, didn’t want to touch anything in that room. We left very early upon waking and a couple days later we were both knocked on out butts sick! My guess is we picked up a virus in that filthy hotel, we will certainly dig deeper in our pockets to never have to stay in a place like that again. My advice, always have disinfectant wipes when you travel and wipe down the room when arriving, bring a couple towels and your own sheets/ pillowcases- I don’t trust hotels to be clean anymore.
