L’hotel ha un buon rapporto qualità prezzo, le camere sono pulite e molto confortevoli, letti comodi. Ottima la colazione con le uova cucinate al momento nel modo preferito. Molto gentili e disponibili nel prenotare i tour, senza maggiorazioni di prezzo. Unico problema è che l’hotel è un po’ fuori mano e le strade per arrivarci non sono asfaltate. Dato che non c’è un ristorante interno , quando piove e al buio diventa davvero un po’ complicato..

A small hotel away from the town, with wondeful service and, if you are looking for tranquility this is the place to go. It is high in the mountain. Close to El Tigre Waterfalls, away from the noise of the town. Breakfast leaves you full: gallo pinto, fruit, cereal, eggs made to order, bread, local made marmalade, cheese, and more, not to mention they cook great. 24 hours complementary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and a snack (during my stay was banana bread and budin made at the hotel, delicious!) My room was just like the picture in their website, good size, very comfortable. Beautiful. Hotel infrastructure and property is very well maintained. They have rooms fully accessible for people with limited mobility. Hotel owners, I was told, also have an ongoing reforestation project. I found recycling station and settings that show their care for the environment. The only sounds at night are those of the wind, and maybe crickets in the nearby forest. The team there make sure you have the best stay possible.

Amazing and very peaceful place to stay. Amazing view and nature, room is very neat and clean, great breakfast and amazing host, Ana, who attends to your every need and helps in every possible way. I can say in confidence that it was the most pleasant stay of my whole trip.

We spent two nights here during our tour of Costa Rica. It is very isolated and the roads to it are very rough. However the setting is beautiful. There are only 12 rooms all overlooking the lake which you can walk around. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was the best we had in Costa Rica, catering very well for vegans and cooked by a very helpful chef. There is no evening food service (although there is cake available at all times!) but some members of our party ordered pizza to be delivered to the restaurant. We loved it here.

Great spot for quiet stay in the mountains. Great comfort and amazing breakfast. Ducks and fishes to feed for the kids and close enough to town for activities and restaurants.

We had a horrible experience at this hotel and will never go back. When we checked in we had no hot water. We engaged the hotel staff numerous times during our stay and they were not able to fix the issue. They said it’s a known issue and has happened before and they promised us a refund. They will not honour their word. We have tried 10 times to get this resolved and they just ignore us. I would stay away from this hotel. They only use solar to power their hot water and when there is no sun for several days there is no hot water. It was horrible.

I was worried about driving there because of the roads but all went well, it’s bit out of the town but the lodge was great, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was suitable, breakfast was good with choices of eggs cooked to your choice, coffee is weak and you could do brown bread. The room doesn’t have any drink facilities so you need to go up to the restaurant and there you can help yourself, no TV in the room and it rained all the time we were there, and it’s scary as hell to drive in the dark so you are in your room by 5.30pm and it’s pitch black outside so nothing to do so a TV would be good. The grounds are beautiful and feeding the ducks and fish was fun. The staff in reception and the security guard were the friendliest during our trip around Costa Rica, the hotel owners should be proud of them.

The hotel itself is nice, rooms are clean and pretty new. One thing to note, there is no restaurant and the hotel is 30 mins away from the closest restaurant. This can be an issue if you get stuck there during a deluge. Also, the road to get to the hotel is off road so if you don't have an SUV / 4x4 you will suffer (and it won't be a nice drive even with the right car). It is also far from most of the attractions (consider a minimum of 30 mins to get anywhere aside from some canopy tours close by).

Stolen wallet. Avoid at any cost Management is not helpful. They may seem to have hand in stolen things. Very poor location and away from city - poor roads. Avoid, avoid, avoid if you don't want to ruin your trip. No sitting balcony as in picture. Just extension to door with most one person can stand.
