El Bosque Trails & Eco-Lodge

We were so glad we stayed at El Bosque when we visited the Monteverde and Curi Cancha reserves. The location is very convenient, we found the room comfortable, with lots of hot water day and night. The grounds of the hotel are like a park. Shops and cafes are nearby, but the hotel is peaceful and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. We hope to stay at El Bosque again!

we own property in MV and stay here often. excellent staff, great breakfast, beautiful gardens directly in the heart of old MV. you can spend more money to stay in MV but you wont find a better location/staff

The staff is very courteous, helpful and attentive. The lodge is located near main attractions and is walking distance to a great coffee shop and restaurant. There is also a beautiful on-site trail available for guests. Highly recommended A++

Our family of five had the pleasure of staying two nights in Cabin 24. My only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. We began planning this trip for spring 2020. And then, because of the pandemic, we postponed it until July 2021. Daniel and Yamal were tremendously helpful in planning our family’s outings. We collected so many memories in the short time we were here — the night tour of the grounds, the guided visit to Monteverde, zip lining, transportation to and from everything. the lunch and pastries at the nearby businesses ... all booked/recommended by Yamal. Having Yamal on your team is basically like having an experienced travel agent there to guide you and keep you from wasting time and money making rookie mistakes. The breakfast included in the overnight stay was a great way to start the day (pancakes with eggs, toast with a choice of breakfast meats, or typical Costa Rican breakfast — and fresh fruit, coffee and fruit juice). If we return to Monteverde we will be checking in to El Bosque.

Estos lodges son perfectos si lo que se busca es la desconexión total y la inmersión en la naturaleza. Gracias a Yamal y Josua que nos aconsejaron las actividades ideales para disfrutar al 100% de Monteverde. Además, siempre estuvieron atentos a todas nuestras necesidades. Muchas gracias por todo! :)

El hotel, cabaña o como quieran llamarlo está lejos del pueblo teniendo en cuenta que son 2 kms. que no es nada pero con cuestas. La recepción está con la cocina, no es el lugar adecuado, da mala impresión. Las habitaciones son de hace 38 años por lo menos, con un lavabo pequeño y en general todo antiguo y estropeado. Las camas antiguas con malos colchones, entrada al lugar sin asfaltar, el entorno está muy bien, mucha naturaleza con sendero incluído, la iluminación... no hay iluminación en la entrada. La limpieza bien pero a veces se les olvida poner la toalla de lavabo. El desayuno bien, el adecuado. El personal traté con dos recepcionistas y unos de ellos nefasto y mal educado, le pedí un café por la tarde y me digo que me cobraría suplemento por un simple café cuando en anteriores hoteles los teníamos gratis en la habitación, para coger nota del desayuno de cómo lo querías te daba igual lo traía al revés o como a él le pareciera, el otro recepcionista perfecto, agradable y simpático. Con todo la valoración y habiendo estado 4 días/3 noches no recomiendo este hotel a nadie, les hay mucho mejores y más cercanos. Un saludo y pura vida.

Grata sorpresa! Llegamos por una recomendación y el lugar superó las expectativas, principalmente por la atención de su personal. El sitio es muy agradable, tranquilo y perfecto para descansar. Su costo es muy razonable y el desayuno es bueno.
