Château Hôtel Edward 1er

The Chateau Edward 1er is a beautiful hotel perfectly situated in a historical village and perched above the French countryside. The staff are exceptional, the rooms are comfortable and stylish, we could not have asked for more. It is like you are staying in a historic art gallery as they have many pieces of art and sculptures that are for sale. We bought a beautiful bronze ballerina statue! A day at the pool followed by an exceptional dinner makes for a perfect summer day.

Lovely dinner at the Chateau Edward 1er. We had the full Périgord taste - foie gras and duck magret to die for, as well as the pork. And for dessert chocolate dome. Service was attentive and never too much. Thank you to the team and the manager of the hotel for their hospitality.

Just returned from a few days at the fabulous Chateau Hotel Edward 1er, Monpazier. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms, lounges and restaurant are gorgeous, so well designed and looked after by the owners. There is also a lovely outdoor swimming pool. The attention to detail is excellent with lots of little touches to make your stay really special. Isabelle is fantastic, always on the go making sure everyone is happy and has everything they need. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was amazing and the service was first class. We can’t fault anything about the hotel and definitely recommend staying here. Monpazier is a beautiful village and the hotel is a 2-minute stroll from the main village square. A big thank you to Isabelle and her team for making our stay so enjoyable.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Edward 1er! The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere — elegant, welcoming, and full of charm. Our room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent, and the bathroom was modern and well-maintained. The on-site restaurant was a real highlight. The food was absolutely delicious — refined, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Breakfast was also outstanding, with a great variety and high-quality ingredients. What made our stay truly special was the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. Their warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. We will definitely return! Hotel Edward 1er offers a high standard of quality and comfort — a true gem.

We spent 3 nights here, and it was the perfect spot to relax after a busy week exploring the area. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the lovely breakfasts at the hotel. Isabelle took wonderful care of us and the entire staff couldn’t be more welcoming. The beds are super comfy too. We will be back!
