Moni Emvasis Luxury Suites

I absolutely loved my stay at Moni Emvasis. A beautiful suite in the lower town part of the castle. Ancient, historical, the setting is amazing. I had a beautiful suite with a balcony overlooking the sea, great for watching sunrise and the fishing boats go out to sea. Breakfast was amazing and I was full all day. This is a beautiful part of Greece with so much to see and do. If you’re going to climb up to the Citadel it’s worth the hike, my tip, go early before it gets too hot. I will definitely be back :)

Great location in the castle walls & very close to the entrance on the right hand side. Excellent view & host! And the breakfast - made to order from the host in your room or on the balcony downstairs. Try the local Greek treats! The suites are cozy with fireplace & very clean and comfortable. Book in advance, you will not be disappointed. Note I suggest to drop your luggage at the entrance of the castle, then park your car. And there is generally a lot of stairs and uphill walking in the area, so bring comfy shoes! It is very unique location, easy day trips by car, and worth it to visit!

My partner and I were fortunate to secure an early booking at this charming hotel, although we learned upon arrival that it only has three rooms. Nonetheless, the owner went above and beyond by graciously upgrading our accommodations. The hotel's prime location within the Monemvasia castle area couldn't have been more convenient, as it's situated very close to the entrance gate. The only minor drawbacks we experienced were the spotty internet connection and the somewhat challenging luggage transfer process. However, these were easily overlooked given the outstanding qualities of the property. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the beauty of the hotel itself. We were treated to stunning views of the romantic sunrise each morning, and it was clear that the owner takes great pride in maintaining the property. The interior design was tastefully curated, featuring high-quality furnishings that enhanced the overall aesthetic. The food at the hotel was equally impressive. The spinach pie was a standout dish for me, and I can honestly say it was the best spinach pie I've tasted in my three weeks in Greece. We also thoroughly enjoyed the dinner menu, which is definitely worth trying during your stay. Overall, we had a delightful experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it to others.

Most romantic hotel and best location! The hotel is IN a castle. The rooms were clean and had beautiful sea views and balconies. The service was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STAR! The kindest woman checked us in, carried our bags, set up our room, made us breakfast and brought it up to our terrace. On the day of our departure, she gave us some of her homemade spanakopita for the road. The special Kuyana egg dish on the breakfast menu was unforgettably delicious! The woman who makes it gave us a bag of her secret seasoning that she goes into the MOUNTAINS and collects and dries out for 20 days before serving to guests. This goes to show the level of care this hotel puts into each room, each meal, each interaction, and each guest. This hotel and the beautiful city around it was just truly amazing. Monemvasia is the hidden jewel of Greece and I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Monemvasia is a tremendous town to visit and understand the heights of the Byzantine civilisation, but it's not an easy place to enjoy without spending time and having a bolt hole. This property fulfilled that brief perfectly and we had a brilliant two night stay here. Breakfast was good, the suite quality, terrace, air con and view 5 star and the hotel gave us towels so that we could enjoy the dramatic sea swim outside the gate at the platform. Superb.
